    What class will you play in AA:U and why?

    Will AAU be suitable for a casual player?

    It's nearly 10 years ago since I last played an MMORPG seriously. Was thinking about playing AAU when it releases but was wondering how playable it is gonna be for a very casual player. I'll probably be able to only play a few hours per week.

    Does it make sense or is the game really only for hardcore gamers? Will I be able to properly engage with other players through crafting/trading? Will I be able to obtain a house?

    Any casual guilds searching for members? :)

    i was curious if this game follows the holy trinity in it like dps,tank,healer and such because in most mmos i usually like to play as a support type of role for dungeons and raids if possible and if i can i guess my other question would be as to if a support healer type build is even needed or do all class types have some sort of healing ability? id really like to play for some dungeons and raids but if there arent that many (dungeons/raids)and not alot of ppl do them then id like to know so i can maybe figure out something else to play as.

    Information on generating currency in the game? Returning player from before player nations hit!

    Hey guys, last time I played the efficient ways to generating money was mostly larders, coin purse farming, or crafting.

    Since then, I believe there has been changes to fishing, as well as how larders lose value now, so staging plots seem to be less of a thing?

    If anyone can point me in a direction where I could learn more about these changes? We used to do mass larders, but I was wondering what some techniques are now. Heard fishing got a.. nerf and buff, so just some rebalancing? Is farming with animals or just raw material plants viable enough?

    Major differences between East and West in Unchained?

    I played quite a bit back in 2014/2015 but stopped around Feb2015, so I've been spending the last few weeks trying to brush up on everything that has changed over the years and will change heading into Unchained.

    The one thing I'm having real trouble finding good info on is the comparison between East and West overall, meaning Trade, PvE, PvP, everything.

    For example I remember back in the day West had some significant advantages in regards to trade routes, leading to easier low effort income, and IIRC usually had a higher population as a result.

    Has this changed? Are the two sides much more balanced now? Appreciate any info especially a compare/contrast take on East vs West.

    How to farm enough Lumber to Build a Cottage pre-Land Rush

    Hello,

    I wanted to ask a few questions on obtaining enough lumber to build, say, a Cottage, or an extra 16x16 farm (Improved Version).

    So let's say I wanted to build an extra 16x16 farm and a Tudor Cottage, which means I need to come up with an extra 200 lumber on top of my level 50 quest giving me the materials to build my first 16x16 Scarecrow.

    Here's what I thought: - Wild Tree Farming (not going to be enough, too competitive)

    • Public Farms (already crowded in PTS!, would I find space, and where would people be less likely to use Public Farms?)

    • Illegal Farms (risky, but potentially great)

    What trees are the best for lumber production? And if there are any others ways to get Lumber safely, I'd love to hear.

    Leveling up as a healer

    Hey there. I'm the type of playing who prefers PvE content generally. And from what I understand, healers are wanted for groups in this game too. (atleast I hope so)

    So what is it like to level up as a healer in these days? I noticed vitalism has atleast some sort of autoattack (word which is appearently cencored in PTS). Is questing up to max level viable in any reasonable way as a solo player? And what sort of a build (classes/type of armor and weapons) would be a good choice? Vitalism seemed to be only one which has any skills scaling off healing power.

    And what it's like in open world. Do I have any chances if I get ganked by someone. Can I fight back in any way and try to outsustain and is my only option to sustain and run to a safe zone?

    How long does it take to get to 50 nowadays?

    I hear that you need lvl 50 for the 16x16 quest now.

    I remember leveling to 50 was a big grind back in the day. Is it faster now? Considering land rush is 4 days after launch, and I'll be working 2 of those 4 days, I wonder if I'll have time to hit 50

    Unchained and 4k Monitor Issues

    Hi everyone!

    I would like to point out the state of gameplay on 4k monitors. Currently it is really unplayable. It runs great, looks better, but the UI is beyond insane to interact with. You can't read stacks on buffs, you struggle to read the cool down timers on skills and aside from reading quest text, the general menus and tool tips are super tiny.

    I want to disclaimer this with I already fixed the high DPI scaling in windows and increased the UI size to it's max of 120%. I would like to ask the developers to give us a UI size slider up to 300% so we can actually see the UI when playing. What does everyone think about the current state of 4k gameplay? Are there some tricks that I am missing?

    Tank / Skullknight stat priority and leveling help

    Hello.

    New player returning with some more questions from PTS :)

    Ive been trying a lot of different classes on PTS this week and was wondering on what main stat and sub stats should I focus If I wanted to play skullknight or other tanks at the end?

    For armor and weapons I was thinking plate with scepter and shield? And later I can switch to searing oath/burning pledge..

    Ive also heard that It is useless to go straight for skullknight since it dosent have any damage.. What would you say that would be the best for me to farm until level 55+.

    I dont mind farming in a group but I still prefer solo farming.

    I was thinking about going for Revenant/ Bloodreaver just switching out defense. Would that be a good farming build? Should I still go for same full tank stats on gear even tho I am leveling with an offensive spec?

    Shadow flickering

    the graphics have lots of issues and small bugs with DX11. Shadows are just jacked up in this game in general, and this video shows it at 7:00:

    Not to mention there is pretty atrocious pop-in on ground clutter which cannot be turned off and draw distance cannot be increased to alleviate this. Not game breaking stuff, but very disappointing for a game that was boosting a graphical improvement and can be a genuinely beautiful game otherwise.

    with some tweaking of video-card and driver settings, as well as down sampling to a higher resolution and cleaning my direct x 11 shader cache I was able to make the game look pretty good but the glitches need to be fixed and I doubt that will happen anytime soon or maybe even never.

    anyone know of any alternative to fixing these shadow issues other than turning off shadows or switching to dx9? doubtful but thought id ask and raise the issue
