It was a awesome time until something changed. Now i want to return with a new character bc i love the leveling/learning process during the leveling. So here is my question. | Posted: 21 Apr 2019 12:18 PM PDT I've just decided to start playing again, haven't play in a while and there are some new skill trees and ancestral abilities etc. Previously I was a 7k GS Mage (Daggerspell/Enigmatist etc) and I felt that playing back in my day that melee characters could pretty easily combo me to death before I even got a chance to react. I often felt like I needed to wear a shield just to survive the initial attack from Darkrunners etc. So I was wondering what is the current state of Melee vs Mages right now. I logged on yesterday and was looking through the city and it seems that 90% of the population is melee? Are Melee characters still FOTM? I'm just wondering because now that Hiram gear is out I guess it would give me the chance to re-roll from mage to melee since I have Obsidian gear which I guess is not used anymore. I played a ton a few months at launch and quit when most ppl did (Cash Shop Patch). My question is if I'm going to understand everything when starting from level 50. I came back like 2 days ago after hearing all the p2w isn't as bad anymore but I'm kinda stuck on what to play. Back in the days I played Darkrunner but I want to try something new. I don't mind melee or ranged so anything is ok even tank but no healing please :D Could anyone be so kind to provide me some classes that would suit my playstyle? I noticed theres a ton of group/raid pvp, Is that where most of the pvp is on Archeage? or is there still small skirmishes or 1v1s. I use to always like killing people as they did traderuns. I used to play as a Daggerspell, and much had changed, so can anyone give me a quick rundown on the different combos that are good as a Blade Dancer? (Or maybe just melee in general).
