Guide on how to upgrade quest gear to level 50 Posted: 16 Oct 2019 07:09 PM PDT Nothing in game really clarifies how the gear progression system works, so I decided to look at some Youtube videos and make a guide. Let me know if any of this information is wrong. ​ Acquire armor sets from main quest line or Armor Merchant (I believe the different types are Moonrise, Blizzard, Sandroad, and Scorching, and the only difference between them is appearance) Acquire weapon crates from main quest line or Weapon Merchant (From the main quest you get 2 Explorer's 1H Weapon Crate or 1 Explorer's 2H Weapon Crate) Acquire Story Quest Infusion Rank 1 and Equipment Awakening Scroll Rank 1 from the main story line quests (Acquired around level 30, and you get ranks 2 and 3 later in the story) Click the Upgrade Gear button in your inventory menu, put in the gear piece you want to upgrade and use a Story Quest Infusion Rank 1 to upgrade the gear to its max grade Right click on your Equipment Awakening Scroll Rank 1 and select the gear piece you just upgraded This will decrease the grade of your gear piece but give it a stat bonus (Intelligence, Strength, Agility, Spirit, Stamina, etc.) If you did not get a desirable stat, use an Adventurer's Evenstone, which you can get from a General Merchant or a Blacksmith, to break down your gear and get your Story Quest Infusion Rank 1 and Equipment Awakening Scroll Rank 1 back Repeat from the beginning until you get the desired stat Kappa Once you get the desired stat, use Story Quest Infusion Rank 2 to upgrade your gear piece to its max grade (Should be Heroic now, and Unique for Rank 3) Then use your Equipment Awakening Scroll Rank 2 to awaken your gear piece, lowering its grade and giving it a second stat If you don't get a desirable stat, you can click the Upgrade Gear button in your inventory menu, put in the gear piece, click Replace Effects, select the stat you want to reroll, and click Replace. This will spend a Change Attempt, and with each attempt you can choose whether or not you want to keep the rolled stat. Keep in mind that you can reroll whatever stat you want and whenever you upgrade your gear piece you get 3 more Change Attempts that you can use however you wish Repeat from the Kappa but instead use Story Quest Infusion Rank 3 and Equipment Awakening Scroll Rank 3 Do this for all gear pieces, but you should prioritize your larger gear pieces like your chest and legs because they give bigger stat bonuses. submitted by /u/JiPtheChip [link] [comments]

Solid Launch AAU. Honestly. Posted: 16 Oct 2019 07:32 PM PDT Honestly I'm very tired of seeing everyone cry about this launch. This is actually a very solid launch for an MMORPG. Everyone complains about 4+ hour ques and when they lock character creation they cry about not being able to play with their friends. Like pick one and stick with it cry babies. Servers will reopen and ques will go down when the launch hype dies down. Just be patient and wait. Literally every single MMORPG has long que times on launch. Some complaints I understand. Land lock should 100% be pushed back. Service packs for buying the game should be account wide. Yes okay I get those. BUT STOP CRYING ABOUT QUE TIMES AND SERVER LOCKS. Don't tell them to make more servers and when they do and those server die in 2 months and then they merge servers and you lose your land on your original server, YOU DO NOT DESERVE TO CRY AND BITCH. I've seen people say "we'll make housing instanced"... man did I face palm on those comments. I won't even get into that one because real archeage players will already know. The game isn't crashing every 5 minutes, the bugs aren't making the game absolutely unplayable, the servers aren't disconnecting every 2 minutes, I'm not lagging across the map and glitching out, there aren't any game breaking exploits... Queue Grace Period Posted: 16 Oct 2019 01:51 PM PDT I am new to ArcheAge, but I've played a good amount of WoW and have dealt with queues. The problem I'm having now is no grace period, so a single d/c or game crash and I'm back of the line. Is this something they're only doing because of the new release and they want to let new people get in? Explorer gear - Be extremely damn careful! Posted: 16 Oct 2019 06:02 PM PDT To people still haven't start or just started - advise based on my own burned ass - be very careful with the explorer gear you get on start from the green quests. This would be a weapon and armor from boxes from quest rewards. On current update this is the gear you stick to from level 1 to early late game, but for some reason these items are not secured, neither it is explained how damn important are they. Do not destroy them, do not sell them, upgrade them carefully with proper ranked infusion. If you screw up and lose already infused gear - you can start a new character right away - that will be much easier than compensate the loose. You still can change the weapon and armor type, but be very careful - use only special items for that. The queue to gameplay ratio is completely disgusting Posted: 16 Oct 2019 05:31 PM PDT I am playing on the least populated server of the original 3 on NA and so far my time spent in queue is 8 hours and counting. (currently in queue) While I have less than 4 hours played because of crashes. I have no problem with SOME queues but isnt server population way over the server cap for queues to be so harsh? The random dcs without grace period is not helping. Will I be able to eventually play the game before I am too far behind if I work during the day? Its not that I dont have the time but it seems like with these queues my 8 hours of time to play at night ends up being 5 hours of queue and 3 hours of play time. Anyone else getting constant queue freezes today? Posted: 16 Oct 2019 06:23 PM PDT My queue keeps freezing after moving about 500 spots or so (Denistrious). Can confirm that it's not the actual queue freezing but rather a phantom DC, because as my queue was frozen my friend leapfrogged me in line lol. When I hit Try Another and try to re-enter queue it tells me I disconnected and boots me...literally been trying to queue into the game for over the last 4 hours or so. Honestly, solid launch so far. Posted: 16 Oct 2019 12:55 PM PDT Just wanna commend gamigo on a fairly smooth launch. Considering previous launches and other titles recently, this launch has gone far better than I expected it to. Obviously I would have a few gripes but nothing is ever perfect. There was understandably a lot of issues with the PTS launch, but you did a great job at learning from that.
