    Authentication Failed???

    Can anyone help me with this? I started playing this game 2 days ago and got fairly fair into the game in that short amount of time. Now today when I open up the game, I get a message that says "Authentication Failed" and I'm not sure what to do about this. If anyone knows the solution please help. Thank you.

    Is this a good build for the current meta? I havent played for a LONG time and I'm trying to get back into the loop. I used to play DR but it looks weaker now, I feel like this is a good substitute for what DR used to be.

    Question related Shortcut Bars

    Hello,
    I'm a new player looking forward to play the unchained version of Archeage.
    I have an issue with the ,Shortcut Bars, UI options.
    The game gives you the option to swap your skill bar by using small, up and down arrows, on the left side of the Skill bar menu. You can also bind ,the up and down arrows, to your keyboard.

    Is there a way to limit the swapple bars to two bars only? I don't need more than 2 and by having only 2 bars I can use only one key to swap bars back and forth.
    Is there a way to achieve that?

    There any videos showing the aesthetic difference between Nuia and Haranya?

    I'm finding that I'm okay with racial options on both factions, so I'm wondering if there's a vid showing the main visual differences out there in terms of like, zone/town design? Seems like it might be a good factor to consider when choosing my faction on the 30th, since I guess I'd be spending a lot of time in these places.

    Unchained early game questions (leveling / housing)

    Gonna try out unchained (please leave your reservations against the release at the door, I'm spending the damn $25) and I want to know based on the patch unchained will be on what the best races/classes/combos are for fast early lvling (and speedy land acquisition)

    I will most likely be east like I was 4 years ago,

    Also best spot to do farming / housing? I always did like farming and trade runs (heard they are nerfed now or something though?)

    Quick question about AAU

    I played a lot of AA at launch but haven't followed it since, and I'm now just hearing the unchained news! I just want to confirm will this be a completely new game where nothing will carry over? or will my old characters, achievements or purchases or anything carry over from AA?

    Fusion question...

    If I like the stat on my longspear and fuse it with my shortspear, will I be able to equip my shield while I have my spear too? In other words, if the shortspear is the image item, and the longspear is my stats, will I be able to hold my shield at the same time as my spear? Or will it count as a two handed weapon?

    Class balance and usefullnes

    I'm doing a lot of research around the classes in current AA 5.6 and some KR footage as well. Last time I played (AA 2.0) Dark Runners were the FOTM class. I assume not much changed in meta since then as DRs are still being recognized as OP and universal class.

    I'd love if any AA veteran shares his few cents about classes balance.

    • How overpowered, overpowered classes are?
    • Is it like rock-paper-scissors mechanic where Plate>Leather>Cloth>Plate?
    • Is it about the best skill trees or actually proper execution?
    • Does a mage stand a chance against melee?
    • Can mage escape a Dark Runner?
    • Can a tank kill an archer?
    • Does a tank stand a chance against mage?
    • How much difference does a gear score make?
    • Are there 100% lost/won fights if it comes to certain class vs certain class?

    Thank you very much on behalf of everyone who is trying to understand the meta, both new and returning players.

    NA Login servers are currently down, devs are looking into it.

    From the ArcheAge Unchained discord, staff has confirmed that attempting to log into NA ArcheAge servers results in an Authentication error for everyone.

    They're working on it.

    I've seen reports from players about this since 12:55 PM PST today (50 minutes ago from the time of this post).

    You aren't banned, you don't need to reset your password. Just wait for them to get it back up.

    Game servers should still be up though.

    I've heard trying to change characters is also impossible due to the authentication server being down. If you log out of your character, you probably won't be able to login.

    Returning Player - Is grinding Hiram still a massive pain in the ass?

    I played Archeage (EU) prior to 5.0 for considerable time and loved it, and then again for several months after 5.0 on fresh start and found it to be unbearably grindy after that point, gave it up after a few months. Considering returning again for Unchained.

    Is Hiram still the only viable option for gear? And if so is it still a huge daily grind? Is there any comparable crafted gear?

    Not sure what (if much) has changed since I played (maybe around March) in these regards, and the forums are down at the moment too

    are there any prestigious hard to get probably one of a kind thing in the game? like WoW's gladiator title that you can get by being #1 in that Arena season. it doesn't have to be literally one of a kind like that, but just super ridiculously hard to get like the runescape capes that you only get for selling your soul getting characters to max level from the old days.

    i'm looking for things like that to aim for. something i can flex in game and AFK in a main city to show everyone how try hard, and how i no life-ed the game.

    Can't make a character on kadum

    So, my friend has just started playing the game. I'm on kadum server, my friend for someone reason can't make an account on kadum, however literally last week, another friend of mine started playing, and managed to make an account on kadum, with no problems at all.

    Is it because they lock the servers on a weekend or something? I'm so confused. He can make an account on fresh start, but ideally that's not where I want to go :P

    if anyone has a fix for this, that'll be great. :D

    PS Explain like I'm 5 how to fix this, I'm very stupid and shit at following instructions lmao.

    Turns out I can't make a character on the fresh start server without deleting my characters.

    I played at launch for awhile and then quit.

    I came back when they added library and lvl 55. Played for a bit and quit.

    My question is, are any member's from the guild's I mentioned around?? It'd be fire to rejoin up with old crew.

    Justicars, Emergent Gameplay, and BAKA, are some that I can remember that I was involved with.
