| Looking for Information - Possibly Returning? Posted: 31 Jan 2021 10:30 AM PST Hey all. My husband and I played a ton of Unchained back when it first launched. We had a great guild going and we were really enjoying the game and then eventually, we burned out as many people do. I'm looking for some info on things like the population and such. What's that looking like these days? My husband is convinced that everything is dead, so I figured I'd reach out to you guys and get the low down. We're not heavy PvPer's or anything, usually more 'potato farmers' / RPers than anything else, we also like dungeons and questing. | Shadowstep question - why is it auto targeting? Posted: 31 Jan 2021 06:04 AM PST So i have been playing with shadowstep and i notice something very odd. In my game options i do NOT have it set to "auto select targets when using skills" and yet if im within range the shadowstep still auto selects a target and teleports me to that location? I even tried the mist shadowstep version which specifically in the text says "this skill can not be used without a target" so why is the game auto selecting targets on me when I click this skill if im only targeting myself? Posted: 31 Jan 2021 06:21 AM PST Hey guys, So, I started playing unchained once it came out, but after 2-3 months I just stopped and dropped it, until a couple of weeks when I came back. When I played back in the day, I remember I'd do the dailies most of the time, I reached around 4500 GS, and hoarded a good amount of infusions and scrolls. I say I hoarded them, because most of my labor and gold were going towards other stuff at the same time (fishing boat, warship, mats, etc) So, since I came back, I tried to focus on gearing up 100%, mostly because I've seen people at 17,000 GS already. Well, within the two weeks that I've been playing, I've burned already 2/3 of what I had, both infusions and scrolls. If I farm for gold, I barely have labor left for upgrading my gear. If I upgrade my gear, then I don't have labor at all to do literally anything else in the game, save for some arenas to farm kyrios badges maybe. Worst of all is, I've only gone 500 points up. From 4500 to 5000 GS more or less. Some pieces of gear now will eat infusion after infusion, with the corresponding labor and gold required, before they level up to the next tier. I'm seeing myself having to wait soon for the weekly raids, to farm a shitty amount of infusions and scrolls once I'm out of them that will only allow me to progress half a tier on a single item. That is, if the next step isn't awakening, and the awakening fails and I need to wait another week for more scrolls lol. I dunno. Someone please tell me I'm either missing something here, or that things will get better actually, and I just need to be patient and constant (?) [link] [comments]  | ||

| Guilda bags on Abyssal Attack? Posted: 30 Jan 2021 07:53 PM PST Hey guys. So, I've been to some Abyssal attacks, and I wanted to ask about something that I sometimes see, and sometimes don't. Right after the Kraken is killed, when the Luscas spawn, I've seen some floating bags with chests that, when opened, give out loads of Gilda stars (20 - 30). There are several scattered around the main island. I thought this was something that happened every time, but yesterday after the kraken was killed, I was looking, ready to jump into the water... but nothing showed up. There were no chests at all. How can this be? Is it that the Gilda chests only appear on Thursdays? How come sometimes they do, and sometimes they don't (?) [link] [comments]  | ||

| Really want to get back into Unchained, but Archeage 2? Posted: 29 Jan 2021 10:35 AM PST Pretty much the title, I played Unchained back at launch for a bit but never played long enough to really get into it due to IRL and playing other games at the time. I've always wanted to get back into AA as I really like the design philosophies and it seems like there's no other mmo on the market that does what AA does. BDO is the closest but it's like an "auto play" version with way less features and no pve or anything to really do at max level besides grind some more. AA seems objectively better in every way, unless you prefer different combat of course. But I honestly don't understand how AA isn't one of the most popular games out there for the crowd that likes hardcore/open world pvp style games while also being a full featured MMORPG. My question is, now that Archeage 2 has been announced, what will happen to Archeage? Is it not worth getting into Archeage now? I would love to, but has this game been more or less "abandoned"? The game has a steep learning curve and I don't want to bother putting in all the effort to learn the game and progress if it's just going to be abandoned with no more real updates. Does anyone know anything about this? Should I still play? I really like the game but I'm scared to waste my time. I remember they were talking about remastering AA's graphics when unchained first came out and that they had already started updating a few zones graphically? What happened to that? Is that still happening? What happened to those new races in development the "Returned" and the Faeries? Are those ever coming now? From the way Jake Song speaks about AA 2 he says that "the races that never made it into the original game will be in AA 2" does this mean full focus is on AA2 and original AA is kind of in Maintenance mode?
