After brooky/kaotic and ubeka, i've heard some other people( at least 2 others, but that's only from my own knowledge) are getting banned left and right (even thoses that werent on leaderboard but are known to have p2w their way on legacy.. and thus may have repeated the experience here).. Its been a while since we heard from gamigo, but witnessing this game of throne remake every night is enjoyable. | Are Quills ever worth it? Analysis inside Posted: 04 Dec 2019 08:33 AM PST Hello, I've recently had to decide whether or not I should be using quills for all my awakening rolls or not (starting from T1.) To put it simply, the idea is that the honor saved from not crystallizing gear is worth equal or more than the gear itself. If this is the case, then quill, quill, quill all the way (even though it's a hard cost-barrier still.) Let's start with a brand new tier 1 Hiram with 0 fail stacks. You have a 50% chance to succeed with a quill which is roughly equivalent to the 55% chance to succeed with 4 regular awakening attempts when fail stacks are taken into account. One quill scroll is a bit worse raw percentage-wise than 40 normal T1 scrolls. The more fail stacks you accumulate, the worse quills become, because your expected average number of fails to complete your weapon from then-on decrease. Less fails = less crystallizations = less quill efficiency. Because of this, we know that the quill will always be at it's best, cost-wise, on a weapon with zero fail stacks. If it's not worth it here, it will never be worth it at all! Using the above conclusion, let's assume that 50% is an immediate success (that way we are maximizing quill efficiency.) The quill succeeds on the first try, and the regular scrolls succeed after 4 tries. This means the regular scrolls will have undergone 3 failures. Quills cost 100 feathers, 10 sunlight essence, 10 moonlight essence, and 5 onyx essence. If we make the generous assumption that onyx essences are free because you do the daily and pocket the profit, and feathers are free because they're just feathers, that leaves 10 sunlight essence and 10 moonlight essence. This is a ridiculous amount of shards that you will never be able to farm on your own, so you will end up buying them. Let's also pretend you have an alt so the labor of combining crystals is free. The total cost of the mats on my server (Jergeant) is ~300g. 10k honor is worth 200g on my server. The gear must crystalize at least twice out of the 3 failures for the quill to pay off, even with all the generous assumptions I've thrown at it. I've looked hard online to find the exact percentage and nobody knows, but from heresay and asking nation chat their averages I am quite positively certain that crystallization is less than a 66% chance on fail (on average.) Because of this, and because the effectively of quills only goes down as fail stacks increase, and because quills increase in price with higher tiers while crystallization scrolls remain the same, I am lead to believe that within the context of my economy Quills should strictly never be used except for the case where you have a ton of gold and literally nothing left to spend it on except honor (at an exorbitant up-charge.) TL;DR: Look at the auction house on your server. If the total cost of a quill is greater than the gold-equivalent cost of 10k honor, don't buy it. If somehow a quill is less than the gold equivalent cost of 10k honor, it might be worth it (probably very close to breaking even at best.) chances are: not worth it![link] [comments]  | ||

| Posted: 04 Dec 2019 08:29 AM PST Not many are aware of this and will almost always blame it on lag, but as of now, trip CC from battlerage isn't removed with defiance, one of 2 things will happen if you try to use defiance right after being tripped, first scenario it doesn't instantly work, like goes into a mini GCD, by the time you press it you're dead, second scenario is you can actually use defiance when you're tripped, but the trip isn't removed, you do stand up from it, but can't move or cast anything like you're still affected by it, visually it looks like it works but it doesn't (not talking about other CCs that could prevent you from moving or casting, just trip). If you're gonna blame it on lag, I have tried it on various CCS like stuns, roots, impales etc... it always works instantly, you defiance out of them and blink away, it is INSTANT, but vs trip you can't do shit if you use defiance.... | Deni East Thunderwing Titan (TWT) Organization Posted: 04 Dec 2019 08:17 AM PST I was told that I should try posting here to get more people interested in Thunderwing Titan (TWT) for Deni East. We are going to try and organize a raid every 2-3 days to summon TWT. To do that, we need people to complete the 100 mob kill quest that you can only get when Reedwind is at war. It is given by the npc next to the hiram herald and it doesn't require you to pay 1 gold to get the quest like other gilda hunting requests. The best case scenario is that reset raids come to Reedwind when it is at war and you can just complete your hiram daily and gilda daily at the same time. Sometimes the war period and reset raids don't line up well and in that case, we will be organizing raids to just complete that daily after the reset raids and Halcy war are done. To participate in TWT, you need 50 glowing prisms and 100 labor to craft the Original Titan Wings that can be used when TWT summons. You can craft the original titan wings at any time and just keep them on you until we summon TWT. You also need Discord because we have to coordinate faster than text will allow us. You don't need a super high gear score, (I am 4.6k) but it will help if you are new to the fight. The first time you do participate, it takes a while to get used to the flight and battle mechanics, and you will die a few times. Luckily there is no dominator's touch so you can just respawn and keep fighting. Zerotoo, myself, and now quite a few people who have done it before, can help anybody that joins the Discord channel. Reasons to do TWT: 1. Guranteed 6 gilda and 3 gold crates (as long as you pick up the TWT titan quests in Reedwind).
So i know loot is a contentious issue. The biggest problem are the wings. They are not a guaranteed drop but if they do, they are considered a basic item by the game. In setting up loot rolls in Archeage, it only lets us roll on things that are graded grand and above. This means that the wings either go to the raid leaders or whoever loots the body first depending on the loot settings. To get around this, we have been using the settings of Masterloot and roll on grand and above. This means everything but the wings will be rolled on by the raid. However, WE WILL ROLL ON THE WINGS. We just have to do it outside of the game. Zerotoo has created a spreadsheet that we can put all the participants in. He will then live stream the roll on Discord and trade it to whoever wins. The spreadsheet is already in the Deni East discord server. You can check everything for yourself. I know that requires a level of trust, but we just need people to show up and we can show you that we want to make this as fair as possible. Here are some videos of the fight itself and you can see some of the mechanics. Please comment if you have any questions or suggestions. We really just want to help our faction participate in content that we think is really fun and worth doing. If we have a 100 man raid, we can finish the fight in 30 mins or less. | Cooldown Countdown not showing - help Posted: 04 Dec 2019 02:52 PM PST One day my UI randomly bugged out after adjusting some volume setting and I had to end process the game because it was frozen. Upon logging back in everything was more or less normal, a couple UI frames were back in their default spots but not everything. Then I noticed the cooldown timer on my abilities was not showing. The graphic where the button goes dark and there is a line moving around the icon like a clock still shows, but the actual number does not. I've looked for solutions on the internet and have scanned over every option available in game many times to no avail. Does anyone know how I might fix this short of reinstalling? Also, my second account does not have this problem--the numbers show up when counting the cooldown. [link] [comments]  | ||

Need confirmation Posted: 04 Dec 2019 10:27 AM PST Hi, So i thought that you pick a weapon type(for example sword/piercing), and that weapon will do more damage against plate. But someone today told me that's not how it works and that it's your armor type that decides what does most dmg, so for example if you use Plate then you do more damage with axe for example. I was like no way? That's not how it works but apparently I'm wrong. I was under the assumption that this a sword would do more dmg on plate for example. Slashing = 50% chacne to do 15% more dmg on leather Your armor choice does not matter at all, you can be naked for all you want. Is this correct or am i delusional? [link] [comments]  | ||
