    They announced they were gonna give an update when they planned to do NA maintanence and it seems like servers are down now. The new Archepass crashed the EU servers now, it just seems like the dev cant get anything right.

    Im probabably gonna get downvoted to hell but seriously is Bethesda secretly developing this game or something?

    Hello everyone! We're bringing the ArcheAge: Unchained EU servers back online following the recent downtime. The ArchePass will be disabled when the servers come back online, as this was found to be the primary culprit in the crashing issues experience on the EU servers.
    Once we are sure the servers are stable with the ArchePass is disabled, we will we will provide an additional claim of the 45 Diligence coin and 7 Labor Recharger compensation box. This will be added in a marketplace update once we have confirmed the servers are stable. Thanks for your patience as always! 📷

    Archeage: Garden Patch Notes Translation

    Since nobody has translated the entire thing so far, I thought I'd give a rough translation of it. Here's the link to the original patch notes, to use as a reference for pictures.

    December Update Summary:

    • New region "Garden" introduced and the Main Story will be expanded.

    • As you progress through the MSQ there will be two different scenario modes to experience.

    • The servers that are connected through the Garden will change periodically.

    • Enhancement will be added to Hiram/Crafted gear, which allows for further growth of equipment.

    • Dungeon/Raid gear can be upgraded after the December update, with awakening being added in January~March.

    • Two more skill points will be given, and as following, the conditions to learn skills and passives will be changed.

    • Castle structures can be upgraded.

    Garden:

    Not going to get too in-depth into the lore as I'm not too familiar with it myself, but the Garden was the first place created by the Creator before the creation of the world. Kyrios is trying to get out, and you're trying to stop the destruction of Hiram and the world.

    2.So the way this area works is that it's a cross server area that changes periodically. What it means is that each faction on each server enters a different garden. All the factions can be from Harayna in one Garden, or there could be hostile factions mixed into another Garden. It could be strong factions vs. weak factions which all plays into the unpredictability of the Garden. As mentioned, the factions that are placed into each Garden change periodically to keep things changing and unpredictable.

    3.Scenario Mode:

    As you proceed through the Main Story Quest in Garden, you will eventually encounter two Scenario Modes. It will take place on a "Seamless Field" (a large map with no loading zones) where everyone is in the same area, but will individually progress through the Scenario Mode in a dungeon-like content.

    Additionally, the Anthalon and Kyrios that you meet here are very powerful and if your gear is not powerful enough you will have difficulty and might not even be able to complete the scenario mode at all.

    4, 5, and 6 are three more areas present in the Garden and for the sake of my time I will not be translating their descriptions.

    7. Scouting Mission

    A new daily will be introduced that can only be completed in Garden. The rewards for this quest are different from regular quests and will change depending on how you complete the mission. If you survive in a non-peace zone, your scouting rank will increase, and if you defeat enemies or members of the enemy faction your rank will increase faster. Of course you can increase your rank through any farming or fishing that you do in the Garden, and any activity you do will help influence your rank.

    (I will be translating the image here since it contains some important information. The image in question is in section 7 and is a picture of the buff)

    Score Information:

    • Time score (10 seconds) : 10 points
    • Monsters defeated: 75 points
    • Enemy faction defeated: 200 points
    • Plants harvested: 20 points
    • Fish caught :10 points (Note: this is regular fishing and not sports)

    Special Rules * Cannot get points in protected areas * If you die you lose 1 rank * If you kill someone with a higher rank than you, immediately gain 1 rank. * Points for killing monsters will be divided among nearby party members (maximum 5) * If you're above rank 6 you cannot increase your score during peace time.

    Their intention with this daily was to give a sense of high-risk, high-reward gameplay. The intention was to keep in mind that as you go higher in rank, the harder it will be to gain score, and also the bigger impact dying has, which places further emphasis on survival.

    New Equipment

    1."Sublime Ancient Equipment" (Hiram is Ancient equipment in Korean)

    The new Sublime Hiram Equipment can be awakened through content that can be done in Garden. Equipment can be awakened from Glorious once it is of Mythic grade or higher, and once awakened, the increase in attack or defense will not be significant. However, the equipment will gain a secondary stat that will allow for additional growth. Currently, items awakened at max grade (Eternal right?) will not decrease in grade, and enhancing equipment through accumulating exp at Eternal will also be possible.

    (In the picture of the equipment stats, if you look at the line under durability, that is the secondary stat that will be added onto T5 Hiram equipment. In the picture they are currently level 0.)

    2. Liberated Erenor Equipment

    A new scroll that will allow Erenor equipment to be awakened once more will be introduced through the crafting system. The materials not only include materials that can only be gathered inside Garden but also various materials throughout the world. Similarly to Hiram equipment, after awakening, additional growth will be possible through secondary stats.

    3. Equipment Specialization

    Depending on the weapon type, different attributes will be added to the weapon: Cutting, Piercing, Crushing. In this update, crafted or Hiram gear that are successfully awakened will not only have their attack and defense stat increased slightly, but also will have another way of increasing those stats through attributes.

    For example, one-handed swords have the "Cutting" attribute, which can be increased from Lv. 1 to Lv. 2 and so on through equipment enhancement. Additionally, Plate Lv. 1, Lv. 2 growth is possible, and depending on whether Attack attributes or Defense attributes are raised, damage dealt or damage taken will be increased/decreased accordingly.

    Attribute enhancement can be carried out through the infusion UI, and when infusing equipment, the exp can either go towards raising the grade of the item, or raising the attribute of the item. Of course, with time raising both is possible, but deciding what to prioritize will be up to personal preference.

    Summary: *As weapons' attributes increase, the damage dealt, healing power will be increased accordingly. *As armors' attributes increase, the damage taken will be decreased.

    *(The picture shows a Liberated Erenor One-handed sword being enhanced. The current exp is 36828 with 1555 exp that's already on the item being used to increase the attribute The second half shows the attribute, which shows that the max level is Lv. 10. After enhancing the item's current attribute will go from Lv. 4 to Lv. 5. This will cost the user 1500G and 750 labor.

    So the attributes will have different effects against different armor types, ranging from "High, Mid-High, Mid, Mid-low, and Mid", which corresponds to the additional damage or additional healing dealt against that armor type.

    Additionally, with the introduction of the attribute system, 2 new damage types will be introduced, which will change the damage types of all current weapons. (I will do my best to transcribe the table into this post.)

    For an example, if you were to use a healing skill on an ally with a club, Cloth/Leather wearing allies will receive increased healing, but Plate wearing allies will receive no additional healing. Additionally, when attacking with a bow using the Pierce attribute, there will be lots of additional damage against cloth users, much less additional damage against plate users, and no additional damage against leather users. This only applies to basic skill damage.

    Additionally, any category that is not marked as "N/A" results in increased damage/healing which will increase the overall damage dealt, but through enhancing armor attributes the damage received can be reduced. Through this the flow of battle will change depending on the specifications of each person's armor.

    4. Raid/Dungeon equipment plans

    The Equipment Specialization system that was introduced up until now can only be applied to Hiram or crafted equipment that are already at their highest stage (e.g. T5). However, raid equipment in January, and Dungeon equipment in March will be able to be awakened, but if these gear are unable to get Equipment Specialization until then, an imbalance could occur, Due to this, these equipment will be allowed to specialize even when not at their highest awakening stage.

    As following, Weapons can be enhanced until Lv.4, armor until Lv2. and once their awakenings are added in January and March, they will be allowed to be enhanced up to Lv.10 and Lv.5 respectively.

    Equipment this applies to:

    • Black Dragon Weapon, Charybdis Armor, Leviathan armor at Eternal grade.
    • Abyssal Library Weapon, Armor at Eternal grade.

    11/21 Update:

    Hiram/Crafted/Dungeon/Raid equipment can all be awakened at Mythic grade, and Specialization can be used after awakening. However, As written above, as they were added at a different point in time, Raid, Dungeon equipment can undergo Specialization even without being awakened. Hiram/Crafted equipment's awakening will be introduced at a high difficulty ,and as such the ability to undergo Specialization without awakening could be a large advantage. As such, setting the limit of Specialization at a low level was determined to be sufficient to balance out this advantage.

    Combat Balance (hoo boy this sucked)

    1. New Ancestral Skills

    The objective of the new ancestral skills being added this update was to make it possible to create more unique skill combinations. Each ancestral skill will not make a massive impact in battle, but we believe that it will allow to better match the damage type to each individual class.

    • Poisoned Weapon: Flame (Anc 14) - Is now melee damage
    • Poisoned Weapon: Squall (Anc 14) -Is now ranged damage
    • Shield Slam: Rock (Anc 14) - Is now magic damage
    • Boastful Roar: Flame (Anc 14) - Is now melee damage, and when attacked by an enemy, nearby enemies will take an additional 1250% damage but will not inflict distressed.
    • Earthen Grip: Flame (Anc 14) - Is now melee damage, and upon cast inflicts area damage.
    • Enervate: Squall (Anc 14) - Is now ranged damage
    • Crippling Mire: Flame (Anc 4) - Is now melee damage, lasts for 4 seconds.
    • Crippling Mire: Squall (Anc 4) - Is now ranged damage, lasts for 8 seconds
    • Stalker's Mark: flame (Anc 4) - Effect increased, range decreased.
    • Stalker's Mark: Squall (Anc 4) - Effect decreased, range increased.
    • Critical Discord: Wave (Anc 10) - Is now melee damage
    • Critical Discord: Squall (Anc 10) - Is now ranged damage
    • vicious Implosion: Quake (Anc 9) - Is now melee damage

    2. Skill Points

    For a long time, the development team was strongly debating adding more points. But the overwhelming feedback among players was that there was 'Not enough skill points'. They also want to make sure that there is a balance between builds that can function with few skill points required, and builds that require more skill points to function as effectively.

    As such, the amount of skill points given will be increased to 20. * At level 55, all players will have 20 skill points, with skill points given each level being changed slightly. * Skills that previously required 5 skill points will now require 6. * Passive skills in each tree will have their requirements increased by 1.

    3. Skill Balance

    The following skills will be adjusted as such:

    • Triple Slash: Quake: Will no longer reduce movement speed, damage of snared targets.
    • Pin down: Is now a level 10 skill, no longer requires 3 skill points.
    • Drop Back: Is now a level 15 skill, requires 3 skill points to learn.
    • Startling Strain: Life - Can no longer be used on yourself, increased song effect increased to 40%
    • Absorb Lifeforce: Increased Healing reduction increased to 90%
    • Enervate: Increased Healing reduction increased to 90%

    4. Shield Defense/Resistance Change

    The issue that shields were too powerful was one that was continually brought up. However, the development team apologizes to the players that this change was delayed due to the development team having to be careful about directly reducing the stats of players' equipment.

    The additional defense/magic defense from equipping shields will be removed from Hiram and crafted equipment. Instead, all shields will have their physical or magical defense increased.

    Through this change, the resistance that could be gained through the bonus by equipping Hiram/crafted shields will only be slightly decreased while the resistances that will be gained from shields that do not have said bonus will be increased.

    Castles

    1. Upgraded Castle Structures

    Each structure that can be constructed in a territory can be upgrade through the collective effort of the faction. Once upgraded, each facility will gain an additional effect. Through the help of faction heroes, each facility can be developed to increased income or make territory activities more comfortable.

    • Crafting center: More recipes and additional content to earn more contribution
    • Oasis: Protective bubble can be used and hunting quest will be reduced to 50
    • Farm: Will be able to research Garden crops through quests.

    New Server: Garden

    (Not relevant at all to NA, but thought it was interesting.)

    Basically a new server which will introduce content gradually throughout the server's release. Will also have reduced P2W aspects and also have the Archepass as well.

    Lastly, the garden update will be split up into December, January, and February updates. The January update will introduce a new raid that will be carried out in the Delphinad Mirage, while the February update will add additional content where players will fight over the Bridle of Power.

    Well, to begin with I would like to say that I love the game. I've never played legacy and gave AAU a try because I felt bored and holy shit, how much fun did I felt playing this game!

    I'm from Belstrom, and as everyone knows the server was locked for 3 whole days recently. As someone who loves the game it really pissed me off, not because of the management issue and lack of communication but by the sole fact that I couldn't play the game I have a passion for. After those 3 days and with the compensations we've had I felt satisfied and enjoyed playing the game again, but I lost some of my guild mates due to this issue..

    Now the game has been disabled for me again, for 7h excluding normal maintenance time, and it made me realise many big issues and red flags that should've caught my eyes before:

    1/ The lack of customer support: I'm so grateful that I did not encounter any game breaking bug that would've cost me to reroll my character or made me quit the game fully, because from what I've heard the game support is non existent, I don't even have to get into the details as why this particular problem compromise my interest for the game.

    2/ You're making a fool out of those who supported you. I was so much into AAU that I convinced two of my long time friends to BUY the game believing they'd enjoy it as much as me. Now that was a bad bet (they stopped after the 3 days server issue). How in hell can I, with the current issues going on, sell this game to my friends without sounding ridiculous ? This is the last time I ever think about telling someone I know to buy one of your products.

    3/ Every maintenance from now on, or any patch that'll come around will be source of incertitude. As a player, it's very hard to keep playing a game that present this level of unsteadiness.

    There is no way around it: I do not believe any of your customers have faith in the people behind the game. Truly shameful. I'll keep playing AAU, but I can't stop myself from thinking that those who manages it are going to ruin it for good, one day or another, and no compensations can make up for this shit show.

    As an alternative to Hiram or Erenor, AAU has Abyssal Library (dungeon) which drops gear for all classes with 3,5,7 set piece bonuses, but I have a few questions:

    1) What do you use to upgrade the gear? Infusions, scrolls?

    2) Can you reroll stats on library gear like you can hiram?

    3) Does library gear have resilience, reduced damage, etc?

    4) What is the lowest gearscore for a group of 5 that can complete library?

    5) Does library gear have the same gearscore as hiram per piece?

    6) For endgame, is library equal to hiram? If not, which is better and why?

    If anyone or veteran AA players can help answer these questions I'd really be thankful.

    At this point it is this not a comedy? Every s i n g l e patch has been a major fuck up. I'm starting to think something is going on... Is XL games mad at gamigo for buying out trion from under them and intentionally fucking things up? Is gamigo intentionally fucking things up for some kind of insurance scam or something? Is this some sick social experiment masterminded by a psychopath just to document what happens gamers?

    I have a hard time believing anyone can fuck up this many times, could replace everyone at gamigo with random kentucky Mc Donalds workers and i'd have more faith in the future of the game right now.

    Hey all, so there is a mix of new and veteran players in game and that's pretty awesome, but this also means that people that have inside information from their experience are hoarding it because they don't want anyone else finding out about their cash cow in game.

    I have learned a ton of stuff that really isn't easy to find or non existent and I want to share this info with you in the form of Video Guides. I just want to know what you would like to see first on this list or post your own and Ill add it to mine.

    1. Locked Crates, where they come from and their values.
    2. Mining for Gilda, Infusions, Tempers and the Wall and what lies beyond.
    3. Hiradium Moles and mole crates.
    4. Coin purse farming and drop rates and best location
    5. My predictions on the AH and whats going to be worthwhile investments.
    6. Combat Costumes, and Undergarments.
    7. Earning 100 Gilda a day
    8. Heedmar Dalies and Resource flags
    9. Sport Fishing and Sunken Treasure
    10. Crafted Gems vs Honor Gems
    11. Utilizing Loot drop potions correctly
    12. Monster Spawn manipulation to make farming spots more effective.
    13. Your Extra 5000 labor you didn't know about and how to use it to make 230-300g a day.
