Larder before/after unscheduled maintenance - We deserve compensation

    Posted: 29 Nov 2019 08:17 PM PST

My family sunk every drop of gold we had into larders this week in hopes of working to restore the trade values in what seems like a broken trade system. The stream advised us to place larders after maintenance and in the proceeding week has an unscheduled maintenance?! This is insane they did not do compensations because that bug was preexisting, but they need to if they gave us a safe window to place them on their stream and immediately disregard it.

I am posting a before and will update with a after. I have done rotations and i am very confident it is a myth, but if my larders are gone you will know for sure.

Please comment yours too. This issue deserves traction seeing as the entire economy is defendant on larders.

i am actually sick to my stomach. That was 151 larders lost. A loss of 4000 gold. If Gamigo does not compensate players who lost resources in this way I won't support the company and am seriously considering seeking a refund.

Please do not be quiet about this issue. Gamigo only listens to the loudest voice. Thats why they get fixes for stuff that doesn't really matter like candles and succubus. Make your voice heard however you can.

    Official statement regarding Larders

    Posted: 30 Nov 2019 07:54 AM PST

Since everyone is going crazy (understandably) but no one has mentioned the official discord #news post that states what they won't or will be doing because of this:

Regarding Unscheduled Maintenance on North American Unchained Servers on 11/29

The maintenance could not be delayed. The underlying issue was a problem with the authentication servers not tracking time properly and getting out of sync, which affects the entire environment. The queue issues we were seeing were a symptom of that issue, which leads us to find that problem, which needed to be corrected immediately. Maintenance on a Friday night during primetime is not something that we take lightly, and will not do unless absolutely necessary.

With regard to larders lost during maintenance, that is an ongoing issue that we have been working with the XL team to get resolved for quite some time, but have not been able to. In an upcoming patch, the system is being changed, but that cannot be brought to the NA/EU version earlier due to dependencies on other parts of that update. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide replacements for lost larders, however, we are currently in discussion with the team at XL Games regarding compensation for this unscheduled maintenance on the North American servers.

Remove larders turn in requirement while the larder's maintenance bug exist

    Posted: 30 Nov 2019 12:31 PM PST

The current system punish the traders doing larders, and all the other trader because the few people doing larders got them removed during maintenance. We can plan on creating the larders after planned maintenance, but when unplanned maintenance come, we're fucked. Archepass and lib already got temporarly removed from the game, so you can remove that pesky larder requirement turn in and it might even make trade run okay again.

Being PvP relevant as a casual player

    Posted: 30 Nov 2019 02:55 PM PST

I love the PvP/PvP possible open world content in this game(boats, fishing, sunken treasure etc) but am worried about being able to stay PvP relevant given that amount of time/effort I can and want to be putting into the game. I realistically only want to play twice a week max for ~3 hrs per session, some weeks less or maybe not at all.

Up until this point I've been keeping up with harvesting Baobab trees, blasting labour and sometimes doing the Blue Salt Bond honour dailies. I've been able to collect about 1800 g and 70k honour, but want to scale that effort back significantly. I've done some calcs and it looks like with what I have I can hit about 4.6k GS with a T2 divine weapon, maybe T3 epic if I push it, but I'd be unlikely to get much past that. A lot of my gear is still explorer so I do still have the opportunity for high toughness/resilience from gemming at a reasonable price.

But I looked around at the people in my Hiram raid last night and there was basically nobody below 5k GS. Most people were 5.5-6k. Given how fast the time to kill is generally, I'm worried about being able to be at all relevant in open world PvP, and that I just won't be able to steal fish from reds or will be food if somebody catches me trying to get treasure back to port.

Do I have any hope of being relevant in small scale open world PvP at 4.5-5k GS? Or should I just move on to another game? For reference I'm playing a Fanatic on Wynn West

Places to grind and reasons for AA:U

    Posted: 30 Nov 2019 10:55 AM PST

So what is the actual difference in grinding spots? For instance between Aegis Island, WHM, EHM and their respective grind locations (Griffon's/Dino's etc). Is there any consolidated location for this information? Things like drop chance, gold/hour or exp/hour would be an awesome resource. I'm coming from BDO and it seems really bizarre how hard it is to find information like this.

Fuck it, disable larders and fix pack values at 100

    Posted: 29 Nov 2019 09:09 PM PST

They are non functional at this point. As long as unplanned maintinence is a possibility, and they refuse to even acknowledge the dissapear on maint bug, i shouldnt even be able to make them. Over 10k in vocation down the drain because they fucked up the queue.

    Migration Scales

Anyone know if the Migration Scales are worth it? Also, is the stat change permanent or do I need to do it every 30 days/or whatever time frame?

Picking a main class (least gear dependent)

    Posted: 30 Nov 2019 10:18 AM PST

Right I'll keep this brief, I have a major altoholic issue and need to pick a main class.

Tank and healer is a no no, I have a bard class but that's only for group stuff if needed.

This leaves any mage or melee, as I will be playing the PoE league soon I want a class that will be less gear dependent so I can still log in and have fun pvping with friends without having to try and stay in the top 100.

    Suggestions?

Two Strange Glitches with Fishing Boat

    Posted: 30 Nov 2019 01:03 PM PST

I summoned my fishing boat in Lutesong and when I grabbed the steering wheel I was teleported out of bounds at the bottom south of the map.

The box you see appeared after the first time this glitch occurred and this glitch was reproducible. Even if I resummoned my ship and grabbed the steering wheel the same thing happened.

Here is what happened after I was first reset.

A strange box appeared once I was teleported back to Villanelle after the Ship Teleportation Glitch. The line on the object goes on forever as far as I can tell.

This did not persist through a restart

Anyone have any ideas as to what is going on?

Farm cart or Fishing boat Silent forest?

    Posted: 30 Nov 2019 09:37 AM PST

Hi everybody. I'm a very casual player in AAU. I really just enjoy farming and or fishing so PVP isn't a big deal for me in this game as I prefer classic world of warcraft pvp. Set my question is for players such as myself should I run silent Forest Farm packs to Soli for money or should I invest in a fishing boat and just fish in the sound less lake when I have time?

PvP Duo - Questions from new players.

    Posted: 30 Nov 2019 02:35 PM PST

Hey y'all. Decided to give unchained a whirl and will be playing entirely with my brother. We are hoping to run a duo where he is more of a charge in, high damage, CC melee (whatever other options they may be).. while I hang back, add ranged damage, some utility, perhaps a little healing. I should say, we will be looking for a strong PvP duo as a main focus.

Our initial thoughts are something like Darkrunner/(Ebonsong or Hex Ranger, perhaps?) but I thought I'd reach out to the community to see what some suggestions might be. We're open to whatever, but there's so much info out there it's a little overwhelming.

As another idea, I could always wildcard into a more support type melee while he says darkrunner... something like Darkrunner/Dawncaller?

    Gamigo be like

    Posted: 29 Nov 2019 08:04 PM PST

They provide the "workaround" for larders on stream just to do this on same week.

    Posted: 29 Nov 2019 09:49 PM PST

They even said on stream the workaround for larders was: "you guys need TO PLAN the larders after the maintenance", so thats what we do, we put larders down on Wednesday, but now they take down server even before those 3 days they need to mature, they will hit thousands of players with this maintenance, just to fix a queue that was affecting some hundreds, we all could wait 1 more day before this maintenance.

https://www.twitch.tv/videos/511818126 Minute 35 talks about larders, minute 37 talks about waiting after maint or its on our "own risk".

    Mage cloak?

    Posted: 30 Nov 2019 01:07 PM PST

Which is the best guild cloak for a mage? I'm assuming the cast time one because it's the only one with intelligence but I don't really need cast time as an instant cast mage. Can that stat be changed?

    XL doesnt do compensation

    Posted: 30 Nov 2019 02:18 AM PST

They only do it for archepass and its not even a real compensation as much as just drip feeding you what you were already entitled to or able to get already.

We had 2 major exploits with ppl keeping their ill gotten gains and we got nothing. We had a weekly maitence on NA that went 6+ hours overtime. EU server went down for days and they didnt even get labor comp or dill. Halcy cant support the population in primetime and tons are missing out on labor via that. And a bunch of other shit.

What makes you think they are going to hand shit out bc of larders which only effect a few people? Get a grip. Oh costumes are on sale btw.
