    Shamelessly stolen from NSA-Surveillance

With a slight increase (and the potential for a much higher increase) in recent activity, it seems like a good idea to add a moderator or two to hopefully help moderation queue times and breathe new life into the subreddit with moderators who are more active in the community and the game itself.

    Qualities

A strong interest in Reddit and this community: You are not only interested in ArcheAge, but you are involved in the /r/ArcheAge community. You have at least a basic understanding of the Reddit happenings, and have already spent some time looking around these parts, or are an active contributor.

Quick wit, team player: You are as comfortable working with a team as you are as an individual. You do well under pressure, and also know when to let others take the lead.

Passionate but logical: You take pride in your work, and have investment in your beliefs, but also know when to shelve your own opinions in matters of judgement.

You have free time, and you really want to fill that free time with a lot of moderating: We're not asking you to spend your entire life in one room, but this is a volunteer role that requires a lot of time investment. This is not a trophy for your wall, this is a big time-sink. If hearing that makes you excited, well, you're weird, but also may be what we are looking for.

You are receptive to constructive criticism: Your willingness to learn and adapt is greater than any ego you process. You strive to improve on an individual and team level. You understand that feedback from other moderators is not personal, but aimed to improve the overall moderation of the team.

    What we need

While we do cover various roles, right now our needs are simple, but can be a bit intimidating: Someone who can consistently moderate during their time zones. This means learning the ins and outs of toolbox and RES. If you're on the internet, you have a permanent tab open for Reddit.

We are now searching for people from all time zones: Preferably the North American region as well as the European region and the time zones that follows with those regions.

    Application process

If you have read the above, don't want to type "What is this, a job without pay?!", still have an interest, and feel you may be qualified, then you can apply here!

Once we have looked over the applications, we will begin to contact applicants of interest on our shortlist to request an interview over our partnered Discord server.

    The application itself!

**Tell us a bit about yourself (We respect you may want to remain anonymous here, so feel free to just talk about your time on Reddit).

    What is your timezone?

What times of day are you mostly active on Reddit?

How long each day can you spend moderating?

How many hours a day do you think each moderator needs to spend to keep /r/ArcheAge running?

Why do you want to become a moderator of /r/ArcheAge?

If you could change one policy/rule of this subreddit, which would it be and why?

What is one situation/decision by the moderators in the past that you would have handled differently, and why?

Do you have any prior moderating experience? Where?

Do you have any CSS experience? If so, show us some of your work.

Do you have any experience with moderator tools like /r/Enhancement (RES), AutoModerator configurations, and /r/Toolbox? If not, are you willing to learn and install?

If a post makes it to the front page but breaks the rules, what do you do?

What do you think of the current state of moderation of this subreddit?

Do you prefer a hands-off OR strict moderation policy? Why? (By hands off we mean letting the subreddit run its self in terms of content, with minimal mod intervention).

Please link 2 posts that you feel should have been removed but weren't/why those 2?

Please link 2 posts that you feel best represent what you think /r/ArcheAge should be.

How else do you feel you are qualified for this position? (Technical skills, life experiences, other forums, etc.)

Please provide your Discord username here including the tag (i.e. User#0000)**

    Other information

Applications will be open from today through to Sunday, June 21st, 2020.

Applicants should be on an account over 6 months old, however exceptional applicants under this account age limit will be considered.

All applications should be in a separate top level comment. i.e. don't put your application as a reply to someone else's application.

This is not a popularity contest, the top voted applications won't necessarily become mods.

In the same vein, don't worry if your application gets downvoted, we'll be reading them all and assessing them internally.

Serious answers only, all non-application comments will be deleted.

Best of luck and we look forward to reading your applications!

    Skill Savers Should Be Free.

    Posted: 13 Jun 2020 03:58 PM PDT

Stop limiting our potential, this is a free option in most games with multiple builds...

People would try more classes if they can save their one settled build and try others.

    Garden needs a tweak

    Posted: 13 Jun 2020 07:35 AM PDT

The premise is good, the idea of rotation good, but very much shows the need to merge a few of the lesser servers.

    Suggestions for change.

Hard cap 9k gs. I have already seen 3k gs alts afk

Tweak the mobs down a little (not bosses)

Tweak the points required down a tad in early levels.

I do not want to make this a potato instance, but it is very clear those that have, will have more going forward, it is not super friendly for those of the lower end of 13/14k GS even for the mobs, let alone PVP.

Great that you have reduced number of dailies, but it is replaced with one daily that takes LONGER than the previous combined

Just curious what order you veteran tanks upgrade your gear. Shield to Chest and so on? With a bit of weapon in there too to aide in solo mob farming?

Archeum DLC Pack - Garden of the Gods - Archeage Unchained

What is the preferred "jack of all trades" mage build for a newer player?

    Posted: 13 Jun 2020 12:41 PM PDT

I have very little knowledge of how to play a mage in AA, so with the fresh start I thought I would try something new. I am playing with 1 other person (rest of the crew bounced) so I suppose 1v1 and small scale would be the extent of my time dedicated to PvP. Any advice would be much appreciated.

How slow is gamigo at tech support now, and would they replace my lost magicopter image?

    Posted: 13 Jun 2020 08:59 AM PDT

I did an oopsie and while attempting to upgrade my glider, accidentally sent my garden pack magicopter image to the void.

It's my understanding that Gamigo have denied such requests for replacements of crafted items in the game before, but I really really hope that since it's an item from a DLC pack that they'll accept my request to replace it.

What do you think the chances of this happening actually is? I've never submitted a ticket with Gamigo before but I've heard horror stories.

Fairy Request daily: How many points per level?

    Posted: 13 Jun 2020 01:09 AM PDT

    Hi Everyone,

I was looking for a table like in the patch notes that also specifies how many points you need for each level from 1 to 12 for the Fairy request daily.

E.g. to reach level 5 you need 4300 points. Level 6 is 4700 points. (Will update any numbers while I aquire them)

    Thanks for your help!

    115 ms player

    Posted: 12 Jun 2020 10:44 PM PDT

If I go for flame endless arrow, which trades fast attacks to do damage will I be able to do a solid damage on pvp/pve?

Also, what could be some good classes that can work fine with that ms?

    Melee classes.

    Posted: 12 Jun 2020 08:13 PM PDT

I saw some videos about abolisher and it just looks like a Darkrunner with a shield and a lot of skills to survive. I would like to know if someone that had switched between those 2 classes could actualy say that are pros and cons between them. I was interested in building a Abolisher with DR gear, but with sw+shield. The CC combos seems the same and the damage loss is something around 200 melee attack from 2h and sw+shield. I am re-starting the game in Unchained at Tyrenus and never played melee and when I saw videos about them, it jus feels so similar with only difference is that Abolisher has a little less damage and can survive better and Darkrunner feels more like a assassin that can tank enough to get out of engages.
