Warned Then Suspended From Archeage Forums Posted: 25 Apr 2019 09:13 AM PDT I have been crashing multiple times a day for a long time now on the NA server I play on. Others In my guild are experiencing the same issues. Just as a precaution we now close / restart the game before going into events such as Noryette to reduce the risk of crashing during the event. I had asked others in Nation about it a couple of times and for some they crash multiple times a day and for others almost never. ​ I decided to create a poll in the Archeage Forums Gameplay Discussion area to see how many were experiencing it at the level we were. I checked for the poll post a couple hours after creating it and couldn't find the post. I then found this message in my inbox. ​ https://i.redd.it/w1dyx8vyifu21.jpg So my post was removed and I was warned for creating a poll which consisted of the following selections : ​ How often does Archeage crash on you? Once a month Once a week Once a day More than 3 times a day. I can't count that high. ​ This seems very odd that this post would be removed and give a warning. I assumed they didn't like the I can't count that high. The last selection was meant to be both humorous and legitimate. There are times that I truly can't remember how many times my game client crashed that day during long all day gaming sessions. ​ So I decided to create a new post but this time I would not include anything that would be mistaken as insincere. Here is the contents of my new post (didn't get a screenshot before it was removed and my account suspended). ​ **How Often Does ArcheAge Crash on You? Let's try this again. Prior post was deleted by Admin and I was issued a warning about me being a troll / provoking others. I'm pretty sure I wasn't but this time I won't create the poll and will re-adjust the wording so as not to provoke anyone. ​ I legitimately want to know how often people's game is crashing. Mine crashes around 2 - 5 times a day depending on how many hours I play that day. I have a lot of guild members that complain daily that they are crashing multiple times as well even with some on brand new computer systems. When I ask about it in the Nation chat I get a mixed range of responses. Some say daily and some say not often. I had posted the removed poll to do two things. One to get a sense if I'm the minority or the majority in how often people crash. Two... hopeful that some good discussion would come out of it. Maybe to see what the differences are between people that crash often and those that don't. ​ I'm running Windows 10, all software is patched and drivers are up to date. I'm not overclocking and am running high end hardware that is about three years old. I've uninstalled / reinstalled Glyph / ArcheAge twice. I've tried both DirectX 9 and DirectX 11 settings in game. I've tried different video options at lower settings. When I look at my video card monitoring my cards never seem to be utilized more than 50% and never go above 50C. My CPU averages in the 60sC range and is never maxed in utilization. ​ I have noticed that when I choose DirectX 11 setting in game the config.cfg will update its DirectX entry to r_driver = "DX10". If I choose DirectX 9 it shows the entry as r_driver = "DX9". ​ I tend to crash more often in certain scenarios such as porting into Marinople, large co-raided events and for some reason the newer instances such as Noryette. The crash experience is usually the whole window (windows mode) just disappearing. Lately I've seen the game actually lockup and I would have to close it in the Windows Task Manager. ​ Thanks for any input. ​ Sumladar\** ​ So I checked back on this post a couple of times yesterday and was getting positive responses from players with suggestions of setting adjustments. All good right? Well I check for the post this morning and couldn't find it. Not that it matters as I won't be posting there anymore. ​ I logged out and did some searches in the forums for polls. I was able to find polls that are far worse in their content than what I put. I also found some posts that talk about moderator actions. Am I being targeted by a moderator that has it in for me? I highly doubt it and should put the tin foil hat on for thinking it. Have the moderators been task to delete any new posts that talk poorly of the game? I doubt this as well as I see current negative posts about the game not being deleted. Old servers or Fresh start server for beginners? Posted: 25 Apr 2019 11:50 AM PDT Hello! I used to play the game (about 1000 hours) but stopped because didn't like Trion. Now I'm planning to come back and 3 of my friends who haven't played the game yet want to join me. Should we join Old servers (jakar?) or shall we go for Fresh Start ( Ezi?). Lots of Questions from a Returning Player Posted: 25 Apr 2019 09:21 AM PDT So, like many others, I quit the game shortly after NA/EU release. I considered the game not to be worth playing without the Patron buff and the APEX price was climbing way faster than I could make the gold for it. I remember I managed to buy one at around 50 gold, though. I never got to level cap and wasn't aware of the P2W advantages until much later on so I quit saying AA is a "pay to have fun" game. I've been reading a lot and watching videos. Seems like XL and Gamigo are now taking the game towards an actual F2P system (although I think it's still not quite there yet) and I'm interested in returning. However, I don't know for sure how much it's changed. I'm aware Hiram gear is the thing now and I know there's tutorials on YouTube about it but... What about trade runs? Are they any different now? Are they still worth it? Is there still a trial and jail system? I really loved that and nobody seems to be talking about it or doing any of it in the videos I've watched. How hard is it to make gold as a free player? I'd love to buy my second APEX and become a Patron. What is it like making gold as a Patron? Can I maintain my Patron status with gold once I obtain it or is it really hard making the money in a single month? What about housing? Is there land anywhere? I remember most players being super friendly back then. Is it still like that or does everyone behave like they just finished a League of Legends match? I'm probably forgetting a ton of things to ask. Anything you can tell me about the current state of the game is welcomed. I really want to know if the game is truly worth returning to and, if it is, I'd love to know what's different so I can be prepared. One last thing: Please only answer if you're an active player or were until not long ago. I don't want to read the classic "ArcheAge is a garbage P2W game" from a guy that quit years ago and just lurks around to bash on it. I'm looking for legitimate answers. What am I doing wrong? (Returning player) Posted: 24 Apr 2019 10:12 PM PDT Sorry for bad formatting, i am on mobile. So I just came back to the game after several years. Played a Darkrunner but they changed the skilltrees so I swapped to Bladedancer because I think it's better for leveling and pve stuff (pls correct me if I am wrong). Claimed my free Hiram gear from the website, put some infusions into my weapon and chest, rerolled the stats to what I think I needed (Str, def pen and melee crit DMG on weapon and HP, res and Str on chest). I then went on to continue my race questline because I realised there are a lot more chapters now. I am now level 51 and in Auroria and the mobs keep 2 or 3 shotting me. What exactly is the problem here? Is my gear that bad? I thought that I could atleast quest and level up with this kind of gear. I can't farm abyssal mobs for additional Hiram synthesis equipment because these mobs are killing me in about 3 to 4 hits too. Returning player Posted: 25 Apr 2019 12:58 AM PDT I played in the Closed Beta a long time ago and LOVED this game, then when it went open i was pretty disappointed with what happened to the game. So our knowladge is soo out of date. My question is about some builds.. Last time I played, I was a hexblade. But now, I would like to change and play some DMG build. I prefered 2 handed weapons, sword, nodachi or spear. It is not problem if the build is a bit tanky/off tank. I like pvp and pve too, but wanted to do world pvp. What about nowdays?
