| Posted: 29 Apr 2019 12:49 AM PDT Hey, like a lot of others I played from launch to Auroria and then quit due to the issues the game had back then, namely the introduction of P2W mechanics and the general launch of Auroria itself. I've heard some good things through youtube and am now willing to give my old love another shot especially with WoW sucking as bad as it does right now. While patching I'd like to ask some questions: - The main reason I'm considering getting back into AA is the existence of Hiram gear. As far as I know Hiram is an alternative to other good gear sets and available through grind alone so correct me if I'm wrong there. But how far is it actually behind the crafted/library gear? - If it's a good chunk worse than BiS, is there a reasonable way to get the BiS pieces without a credit card or is that P2W only? I get that you CAN get BiS in almost any game that's considered P2W with grind but in some cases it's just not realistic. - What's the grind I'm looking at to get "PvP ready" aka not canon fodder and is it more of a daily grind or can I do long sessions as well if I feel like it and be rewarded for that? - Are guild fights, trade runs and generally open PvP still a big part of endgame? - I'm playing on EU, how's the playerbase doing there? - With the trees changing how's the balance? - Are Magic/Physical hybrid builds a thing? - I'd like to aim for a class that has: Stealth, Range, Nukes, Movement, Off heal. In exactly that order of importance, if it doesn't have movement or heals that's no big deal but it'd be nice to have. Something like a Deadeye in GW2 or a Moonkin in WoW would be ideal. - Generic "any good tips for returning players"? Thanks in advance to anyone bothering to answer here! I know that you get a lot of returning players here and I've looked at a few of the posts but it's hard to find exactly what I'm looking for not knowing the game that well anymore. I am on the sever Kuran (if I remember how that's spelled) and I am on the Eastern faction. How are the faction populations on this sever and Aria. Is it balanced? Also I have a hard time finding many players ingame, like in Austera. Also, looking for a guild, I have tried asking innation and trade but never get a response. I've been trying to research the classes, but a lot of the common articles / threads about the classes seem to just point out the hyper-dps rogueish builds or supports. Is there any way to play a reasonable Dark Knight style class without gimping myself? It would obviously start in Battlerage, but then move into ???? I'm guessing one debuffing tree and one spell tree. Maybe Malediction? Speaking of Malediction, it looks like that was the newest skilltree added, since I can't find it on any of the ArcheAge wikis that are floating around. What do I use my honor for? What do I use my gilda stars for? What do I use my gift coins for? What glider should I go for? I currently have an ezi design from a while ago, should I go with that? | Posted: 28 Apr 2019 06:48 PM PDT Hi I am also a returning player like many in this subreddit and I am at level 50. I have my welcome back gear and am sporting hiram gear now, albeit quite a low level. GS around 3.1k but I am having huge difficulty even farming mobs for Hiram gear as a BD. I figure it's because I am still not level 55 so I have made that a goal first before I start farming mobs again. Any sound advice to level from 50-55? I find that mostly I am completely confused wandering the world. I have some Diamond shores quests that make me do trade packs I will do later. Library seems dead, nor can I efficiently grind much of anything on auroria yet. [link] [comments]  | ||
