    Haven't played archeage since 2015
    Also haven't payed any attention to the goings on.
    Surprised Archeage is now owned by someone else.
    Pop open steam and download it again from library.
    Waiting patiently, mostly plan to just have some nautical fun on elf pirate.
    Download finishes.
    Hit launch.
    Launcher looks....broken to say the least.
    Like if a website loads improperly.
    Features a guy with silver hair and a red sword.
    Can't really login or launch game.
    Spend hours finding out what problem is.
    At one point notice the launcher says its "version 1.48".
    Wait wut.
    Decide to install Archeage Unchained on steam, maybe it does better?
    Nope.
    Naive me just thinking its a problem with steam somehow.
    Go download version from Kakao's.
    Same problem.
    Also notice while digging in Kakao's folder, bootup program says "Last modified 2021".
    Started at 6pm, threw hands up in frustration by 1am.
    Check steam charts for both... just oof and OOF.
    Go to bed.
    Contemplate playing Lost Ark or FFXIV more instead.

    GMs letting players change factions via Customer Service

    Hello dead subreddit. Yesterday 24.3.2022 our archeage community was shocked by huge bombshell news.

    A player on EU EVO server Ardenia was depirated because he asked a GM nicely in the customer support. Imagine that. At worst it's favouritism, at best it's incompetence / admins bypassing game mechanics.

    Has Kakao Games hit a new low publishing this game? You might as well start asking Kakao to regrade your items via Customer service channels "because you have failed it so many times"

    Kakao banning those who challenge their activities from their discord

    As kakao horribly handles the game, and people leave in droves. People are desperately trying to get kakao to listen to them, and some outwardly mock them for their terrible handling. Those who disagree with them, challenge them, and in their mind "insult them" in their handling of the game are being banned from the discord to make it seem as though people are loving the game. Be careful in supporting this greedy company folks! If you challenge them, or are "toxic" to their CM's who blatantly ignore their community and only show up when they feel like it, you 'will' be removed.

    West Or East for Potato Life?

    I really enjoy doing trade runs, farming, gathering, and fishing on this game. So which is the best for potato life west or east? Can you explain pros and cons please?

    I used to play in west, doing TR from Twocrown coast - solz with merchant schooner, really fun.
