Glyph Error #1005 installing/updating ArcheAge Posted: 13 Aug 2021 05:59 PM PDT Cannot install ArcheAge specifically. All other Glyph games work. MacBook Pro 16 2019 -Windows 10 21H1( OS Build 19043.1110) ​ ArcheAge error #1005 occurs- according to Gamigo support- when insufficient permissions are present. The game will install okay, and the most recent update will seem to apply okay; but, when the update reaches the very last part "Decompressing ArcheAge" it fails with "Unable to apply updates. (error #1005)." Gamigo support has been unhelpful in resolving this even with the logs I sent them. ​ Things I have tried from other forums from gamers experiencing the same problem: Completely uninstalled Glyph and Glyph games and all related files/folders. Disabled firewall, added glyph.exe as an exception just in case, ran Glyph as Admin, installed ArcheAge. Completely re-installed Windows 10 and tried #1 again. Like a maniac, I tried this a few times expecting different results Installed ArcheAge via Steam. This then brought up Glyph to install the latest updates which led to the same error code. Installed Archage on an external drive using Admin perms on Glyph which was installed on c:\ Things I will try next: Install Glyph onto the external drive then install ArcheAge on the external drive. submitted by /u/xXJungleJimsXx [link] [comments]
