| Dual wield for mages... Except for Spectre? Posted: 14 Jul 2020 05:26 AM PDT Hi! New player and first time poster here. I am aware that dual wield increases attack speed, so mages/casters benefit from it in ancestral levels since ancestral skills lose the cast time, and in fact I see Fanatics, Spellsingers, etc in the ranking wearing dual wields all the time; but for some reason (that I don't understand) Spectres seem to be an exception as they all seem to exclusively use staff as a weapon. I'm building a Spectre and I need to eventually commit to a weapon to awaken my gear to Hiram, so I'd like to understand why Spectres specifically seem to be an exception to the dual wield for attack speed rule. At the moment, all weapons are getting their damage calculated at 1.0 atk speed TL;DR 2H weapons doing similar damage as 1H weapons, but slower in atk speed. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Posted: 13 Jul 2020 08:32 PM PDT Hello So i rerolled from healer to mage in the past few days, spent all my gold and honors/labor on gemming my mage gear. I have 3 pieces that are not hiram yet. they are blue grade and they arent gemmed, i think its guards and belt that are not gemmed because i don't know how to get the gems for those slots, i checked the ranking and i dont see those gems anywhere, people use stuff like reducing shacke and trip duration but from what ive seen they are 2k on auction house? wtf that's insane. I upgraded my weapon so far and it's at epic rest if normal hiram or just before hiram. i gemmed them all before upgrading from explorer to hiram, except for belt and guards which i still don't know what to do .. The other thing is my instrument which has stamina instead of INT, how can i get a new instrument? thanks in advance [link] [comments]  |
