Posted: 13 May 2019 12:05 PM PDT hi all! im a (maybe) returning aa player. read a lot about the changes and really liked most of them. quite a few steps in the right direction :) i love1v1 adn small-scale pvp (not into raid pvp) and thats what keeps me playing (if i enjoy the pvp). what i like about aa pvp is the combat mechanics and class flexibility, but theres one thing that makes me hesitant to invest time into aa again: i watched lots of arena 1v1 videos from patch 5.3 and nearly all the fights were all decided by 2-3 bursts, sometimes only 1-2 bursts. most of the kills happened extremely fast (like way beyond my reaction time). there was no back and forth, nearly no healing and it was just exploding hp bars. that kind of pvp seems too fast for me :( also checked the gladiator arena rankings top100 and it was full of dps/burst(+cc) classes. i dont want to judge aa pvp by these videos, so id appreciate to hear some input from higher gs pvp players: 1.) is the pvp really that fast and burst oriented at higher gs? 2.) are lower dps class like tank or healer with defensive setups viable in small-scale pvp and what about these classes in 1v1 (given equal gs)? 3.) if lower dps classes or more defensive skill setups are viable, which ones would you recommend for a returning player? 4.) if 1v1 and small-scale pvp is all about burst and fast kill combos, does anyone know if the korean version is further down that road or is the pvp meta "slower" (in terms of the pvp fights)? thank you in advance for any input! As the title says, if you're low GS and you need to get your hiram dailies done but seem to be taking a lot of damage, then I'm here for you. I'm a 6.7k GS cleric who likes to help people when I'm not busy. I'm available after I do my own dailies. Just whisper me in-game and tell me you need heals and if I'm not busy then I'll come help you out. I'll DPS when I can but that just makes me run out of mana faster, still learning to manage my shit tbh. I expect nothing in return, I'm doing this because I like to help people. Actually, all I ask is that we both bid for infusions and that's all. Since everyone needs infusions then it's only fair that we both bid on them, same with awakening scrolls. Everything else I will pass on. We're getting killed by reds? Well shit, run away or die like a man.

| I Just Got to Auroria and I'm Completely Lost Posted: 12 May 2019 09:50 PM PDT Hi there! I made a post about a month ago or so, asking a bunch of stuff as a returning player. I got most (if not all) of my questions answered. I began playing the game again, continuing from my old character. It was level 45 and took this long to get to 50. I don't have too much free time to level, and it also feels like leveling takes relatively long regardless. So, after getting to level 50, I'm kinda lost on what to do so here come a few more questions: First, what quests am I supposed to do now? All the quests I get are dailies to gather Archeum and stuff for Mistmerrow, Crimson Rift, Aryasomething Library... All of these sound like end-game content, but I'm not at level cap yet! I know I haven't finished the green "race" quests. I left those far behind because back when I played they only went as far as level 20 or so (or at least that's what I thought). I know I can spam Labor to level up through crafting or some other stuff but I don't have Patron yet so that's gonna be pretty much impossible. Second, I got a bunch of Hiram gear (enough for a full set and a few rerolls) from the returning player boxes. However, many don't have the right stats. I don't know if I should reroll the stats on these or get new ones and identify to see if I get better stats. If rerolling is the best choice, how do I do that? I know how to upgrade it, but not how to reroll the stats. I do know where I can find them so there's no need to explain that. Third, is there a way to avoid my inventory from getting all scrambled every single time I log in? Same with my quests. The quests being tracked always reset to the same two and the ones I manually tracked then are no longer being tracked. Fourth, how do all the endgame stuff work? Red Dragon Keep, Golden Plains Battle, Crimson Rift, Mistmerrow, Library, etc. I know crap about all of this. I heard Library gear is among the best, up there with Hiram but not as good as Erenor (which I know nothing about). Fifth, I don't expect people to tell me their secrets, but any tips on how to make some gold? I already have one APEX that I bought back when I started playing around western launch for like 30-50 gold. Now they're worth 1700-1800. I really want to get the second APEX to become a Patron. I still don't have a guild to ask people about all this. I've been asking around in nation chat for a guild, but they all tell me to get to level 55 as a requirement and asking the questions in nation chat will basically give me really useless replies. Sometimes a few good fellas will show up and help me out, but it's not common so I'm starting to give up on using nation chat for that. Anyways, that's all my questions so far. | ArcheAge EU Server population and faction balance Posted: 13 May 2019 08:07 AM PDT Hey, I've played the game years ago and recently I heard about the Hiram update and the gear that comes with it. Now a friend of mine and I want to start new characters but we are wondering: which of the legacy (we both got the server merge compensation packs still so we are not interested in freshstart) servers should one start playing on and how is the faction balance (east vs west vs pirates)?
