PSA - Use the 1 gold Salon ticket while you can!

    Posted: 01 Nov 2019 09:30 AM PDT

This was mentioned in a few posts but gets buried under all of the crap.

You can currently re-customize your character for 1 blue salt hammer (1 gold). Just go to the in-game cash shop, click on the 'Salon' button on the upper left, and you can re-customize your character.

This will most likely be for a limited time until they can get the salon tickets in to the credit store so use it while you can.

Issues with claiming Diligence Coins on Steam

    Posted: 01 Nov 2019 02:45 PM PDT

So Gamigo announced that Diligence coins can be claimed on the account settings on the glyph website. I heard that new players on Steam had to create a Glyph account and link it to their Steam.

Problem win my Steam account is that I used it back in the days to play the Legacy version of Archeage (Trion) - where you didn't require to use an E-Mail to link your accounts (Glyph somehow did it for you).

Does anyone else have the same issues I'm facing? It seems to be kind of specific but it basically locks me out of claiming my diligence coins, which honestly ist a bummer?

I've been enjoying this reddit since sorting by New.

    Hiram Mountains are brutal

    Posted: 01 Nov 2019 11:50 AM PDT

So I finally made it to the Western Hiram Mountains through my quests and the mobs here are absolutely vicious. It doesn't take me long to kill them, but they do a ton of damage to me in that short period of time (I'm a cloth DPS with 3.4k GS). On top of that some mobs are hidden and they ambush me, not to mention the overgeared reds prowling the area for easy honor kills.

Is there something I'm doing wrong?

    A comprehensive guide to Archeage?

    Posted: 01 Nov 2019 08:43 AM PDT

I've been scouring through youtube videos, and text guides, but ALL of them seem to operate under the assumption that you have a versed understanding of the game. Most just referring to major things like farming, housing, gildastar acquisition as offhand and things you should already know. Is there anywhere to find an actual, detailed guide that can provide context for things in the game and clearly explain things to someone who is generally unfamiliar with the game? I've spent a few days on this while trying to learn more as I work through the 30-40 slog and it's been..unsuccessful.

How am I supposed to use the trade pack window?

    Posted: 01 Nov 2019 12:10 PM PDT

So I found the little menu that lets you select where you're crafting and where you're delivering and gives you the value, like such and such pack is worth 130% in cinderstone.

But, how does that help me if I don't know the actual base (100%) value of the pack in the first place?

Yesterday I ran the Two Crowns Level 3 community center pack to Solz because it said it was 130% and I figured, 'Oh, this is a LEVEL 3 thing, it must be worth alot!' Ten gold. Just ten gold. Minus the 2g for the Blue Salt Hammers and the 3g to make the pack. So I made a whopping 5g for all that time. I like the concept of the trade packs but I feel like the time and effort it takes to make/run them is pointless.

Why the crime system needs fixing.

    Posted: 01 Nov 2019 10:35 AM PDT

We've all seen the stupid high amount of hours you can be imprisoned for. Many people brush it off with a simple 'well don't steal and kill then.' But, it's not that simple. Trolls can grief you without any repercussions. For example, in Abyssal/Luscas, troll player will climb onto green galleons that are already close to the weight limit. When five or six new greens climb onto your galleon, you either get to let it sink, or desummon assuming you're lucky enough not to be in combat and just ruin the experience for everyone.. or you can kill them. Assuming you've already spammed them telling them to hop off and why. But then, in this massive pvp event, you might eventually die, and anonymous juries give no fucks and send you to jail for hours. This happened to our raid already, and I imagine it will worsen over time if the crime system isn't fixed, and fast. One of the best features of this game was the ability to kill same faction players. A way to punish the trolls (or grief others, but you so that excessively and the justice system does it's work) now I kill one troll on my galleon and my jailtime causes me to miss the event. These people are aware of this and will happily sink your boat over it. The sandbox in this game is already nerfed so much it resembles a grindy theme park. Fiz the crime system ASAP or you'll see more of this, and the resulting player drop. At this point crime only exists to let people go pirate, or commit thievery on an alt. It's beyond stupid. Fix it, gamigo, this is nuts.

    Housing help

    Posted: 01 Nov 2019 10:30 AM PDT

There's a god forsakenly large amount of info out there regarding this, but I still am not sure what the hell I'm doing. Is there any info on housing upgrades and what those upgrades do for you? I thought about working towards a Thatched Farmhouse, but theres also a treehouse and I need to weigh my options.

    Armor Skins

    Posted: 01 Nov 2019 03:11 PM PDT

Is there a site that shows what armor looks like? I picked the blizzard cloth armor and just awakened it for the first time (level 28) and now I have ugly green armor. Do the other quest gear upgrades look different? Any resources for this?

    Finally bought an alt (p2w)

    Posted: 01 Nov 2019 02:40 AM PDT

I don't understand why the community is OK with this, when they absolutely lose their shit over people getting advantages over them with the archepass stuff, even the recent minor archepass exploit which was like 200-300g + labor.

I finally spent 25 dollars on an alt because I just have nothing to do on my main after 2 hours or so, im not super hardcore or anything. But spending 25 dollars and spending a couple hours leveling up this alt I have...

Doubled the size of my farm land increasing my daily passive income by at least 50g a day, while at the same time removing any need to use labor on my main for taxes on any of my 5 properties. Anytime I need lots of raw mats processed it's not longer a hassle and I just have my alt do it. Im going to eventually get double the archepass rewards if I want with some extra time played. I can have my alt sit on my mount while i farm aegis of WHM and soak up all the coin purses and move the gold to my main. Anytime i need to use labor for anything that isn't related to improving my gear I can almost certainly just use my 2nd labor pool to do this.

Like I said, im not some neet playing 8+ hours a day and im getting benefits from this that will in a month or 2 dwarf what the exploits gave over the average player. I don't like this, having to be logged into 2 accounts at once it feels cheesy and it's just something else on the list of things that will turn people away from this game, and honestly it's p2w as well.
