Crime scores have been strongly set to reduce indiscriminate PK or PvP. But backlash and side effects were also true. However, it wasn't easy to change, because new and returning heirs (players) found PK or unilateral PvP to be very stressful and disruptive to the gameplay. In this update, we will better protect the heirs (players) that need to be protected, while improving the PvP between high-level heirs that were being held back by crime scores. If you kill a target at a level lower than yourself, your crime score will increase in proportion to the level difference. (Up to 100 points). If you kill an opponent with the same or higher level as yourself, your crime score is reduced. (Minimum 20 points). Successor levels are also included in the level difference calculation, and minimum scores (20 points) are applied to PvPs between successor level 13 and above characters. | Posted: 15 Sep 2019 04:08 PM PDT Anyone else really looking forward to a version of Archeage where at the very least it's dramatically less P2W where players who were carried by their credit cards before will die easily to players with higher skill? Or is maybe that just me? I wonder if they will even try to play this version to begin with though.. Before people say anything like "it wasn't a problem" for them before, well it wasn't entirely for me either as I killed people with my GS deficit all the time but on the very top end people who swiped hard enough could just 1/2 shot you or just do something like endless arrows to kill you while taking zero damage themselves. Posted: 14 Sep 2019 08:39 PM PDT It seems like less and less people make sheet music these days, however, i just heard that 6.0 is supposed to come with a band feature. No more trying to manually sync up your songs. Not sure max member count ect but that is a very welcome change. Not sure if any other changes are coming to artistry. I assume we are still limited to 3 tracks per sheet. Not sure if there are any system optimizations like getting rid of order errors ect. More expensive by how much? What's the difference in labor costs? At this point I'm convinced people are just regurgitating information that someone pulled out of their ass. Posted: 15 Sep 2019 08:26 AM PDT Hey all - I thought i'd ask vets of the current Archeage and players planning on returning after a hiatus what their thoughts are on coming back to the game for people who have been out of the loop since 2015, have busy ~45 hour work weeks / other life things going on, but still want to pvp and do reasonably well I played archeage in the original beta and for the first year of release. Some of my best gaming and pvp memories outside of Darkfall were in archeage - small group fights, big raids over illegal tree farms, hijacking packs off of people using those big hot air balloon transports. I originally quit due to a combination of the growing p2w feeling of the game and the grind for gear i could not keep up with (and back then i had a lot more free time than now). When i heard about Unchained i got excited and started looking into coming back - i listened to one guys video about what to do at launch, and he rattled off a dozen names of dailies, raids, instances, and runs to do and i felt pretty lost. I vaguely recognized maybe one of them, but got the impression it would take a lot of time to keep up with. So now i've been debating whether to get the preorder and sign up with another clan. Conservatively could probably only manage ~25 hours a week of play, +/- 5 hours depending on the week. Is it still worth it for someone like me to try and come back if they want to pvp? I want you to know that the general community for this game is severely toxic. Basically imagine 4chan and well that's archeage. Homophobia, Racisim, Transphobia. All that shit runs wild. If you're interested in that sort of thing fine with you, But if you're some new player, or someone like me from the days of old. Be prepared for the Pepes on Sails, and Shittiness in chat. IDK what about this game that bred this kind of enviorment. But I can imagine most of the comments will be people denying this or going "Triggered." or some shit. | New player question- Leveling to max level Posted: 15 Sep 2019 05:04 AM PDT I tried to find some information on this, but could not really find an answer ? What is the average play time needed to get max level in archeage?I know of course that this can depend on many factors, but i am trying to prepare for AAU. Additional:So without taking into account that you can powerlevel with exp potion or special tricks,etc. How long does it take to level the 'normal way', doing main quest, dungeon etc. Is it also mandatory to do your side quest? Or do you guys recommend like do the main story and skip all side quest until level X and start doing them from out there of skip them all in general? is there also a choke point in leveling ? ex. the last 5 level takes more time than the first 50 combined ?
