Posted: 20 Nov 2021 11:40 AM PST I have no idea whats happening, i just saw the email. I just hope we get a vanilla server and maybe a slow release of the expansions. Like what wow classic is doing. [link] [comments]
Posted: 20 Nov 2021 02:14 AM PST So, If I understand everything correctly, those who bought unchained + both DLC's will be able to play for 6 months before they need to pay at all. Their alt accounts probably get 3 months (AAU+free trial). Considering the history of the game and fresh starts, this already will be enough time for significant drop-off in population, as the Fresh Start Age people are so in love with fades, and only DailyAge is left. So I'm confused. Given how much free time most people will be starting with, if Kakao actually wants to make money from this, won't they have to count on a longevity we haven't seen from AA yet? I'm tempted (bonk) to say this makes Kakao more likely to deliver on their promises. I'm actually a fan of subscription only models for mmorpgs, as it properly aligns incentives. Have a good game, and people keep playing and paying. No incentives to have grind/tedium that can be improved with $$. I have trouble seeing how this relaunch could just be a cash grab, seeing how delayed and gradual the payoff would be. If anything, it sounds more like a loss to me. Even if they keep their promises, I don't see them fixing DailyAge, reverting trade runs, making gear more interesting than Hiram, and the nature of AA as a winnable social game with endless accumulation inevitably leads to slow (or fast, depending on how onesided) server death. The only mitigating factor I can think of is that putting it on the same version as KR might save on development costs. What am I missing? Edit: Also, 1 month free trial for everyone sounds like a recipe for disaster unless Kakao can actually enforce rules. Endless trial account rotation for processing and bot mining, anyone? Sounds like RMT heaven. [link] [comments]
How does the latest patch affect trade packs? I miss them from unchained, are they back? Posted: 20 Nov 2021 07:23 AM PST I played OG Archeage and Unchanged for a bit as well, but the lack of naval content and basically no land trade packs killed the game for me. In the patch we'll be on in the latest iteration of AA, are tradepacks run anymore or are they still dead? [link] [comments]
Just to make it clear about ArcheAge Posted: 20 Nov 2021 01:10 AM PST So, we went from F2P to F2P with P2W 2016-2019 Guys, we are talking about 8yo game. I know the game is good, but sometimes we need to let them go... [link] [comments]
Posted: 20 Nov 2021 03:08 AM PST Anyone can enlighten me what are the most playable classes in current state. Mage? Archer? Tank? Heal? Mele? Hows the new gun class ? [link] [comments]
Fresh Start guilds recruiting? Posted: 20 Nov 2021 09:05 AM PST looking for a guild aiming for top 5 to do content with. planning on playing a lot since I work from home and can manage farms / do casual stuff while I work. the times I can play are usually in the off hours after reset during workdays as I get free around 4 AM EST. I'm thinking on playing a front-line Gunner as they were nice on launch and I'm sure they got their ancestral skills now making it even better. if not that then a battle-rage melee as that is my go-to playstyle since it is crazy good for farming mobs solo. I'm planning on doing Fishing (alt)and Commerce (larders) to make gold, and am hoping to once again get a first try T4 weapon. I was in a number of guilds that maintained top 10 spots in the servers they played in. Morpheus - Prime / Power Reckoning - Epidemic / Plan B Thunderwing - Knights of Glory and Beer (K.G.B) Tyranos (?) - Mischief 2nd Fresh Start, cant remember name - Epidemic? Thats Crazy? I was invonved with Zzz's alliance Skipped 3rd FS as i had stuff going on [link] [comments]

I think it's over for you guys before it began Posted: 20 Nov 2021 01:35 AM PST You pissed people off with the b2p to sub (not me) but ur also splitting the limited player base between f2p and sub on a fresh start. Fucking weird mates. Almost seems intentional for failure Anyone still planning on playing that wants to have a healthy server in 3 months should form together and decide where the player base is going cause the fucking noob publisher team doesn't know their own game guys. Happy UwU publishers and cms are traps when it comes to competence and server health. Yes im a doomer but im not wrong. Bots and multi accounts are about to flood unchained through free trials unless enough uproar is made. Meanwhile f2p might be more stable if u can get whales to pay everyone sub in apex. Good luck guys u are the last hope <3 [link] [comments]

Are there any resources for seeing what new features have come to the game overtime? Posted: 19 Nov 2021 09:48 PM PST As a potentially returning player who last played in December 2019, it sounds like there have been some large changes since then to the game. On top of that, if my understanding is correct, the western version of the game will be updated to the current Korean version which has always been months or years ahead of the west. The previous DLCs will be baseline as well. I imagine those newer versions will also include some significant changes not seen by current players in the west and so I'm wondering if there are resources where either detailed changes or even just highlights can be viewed.
