Lots of my friends and I are having plenty of fun just playing the game how it's meant to be played. Give the game a go and make your judgment from actually playing, not just the sheer amount of negative response on this sub. People saying the economy is ruined are ridiculous. Prices on everything have plummeted now that everyone is starting to be able to grow their own stuff. People who want to be sweaty and grind for more hours than most people can will always be on top. Don't let that stop you from Playing a truly enjoyable sandbox game.

Edit: thanks for the gold kind stranger. Glad so many people feel the same way.

    The ArchePass is anti-ArcheAge

    Posted: 23 Oct 2019 04:19 PM PDT

    Intro

ArcheAge is originally a sandbox MMO that emphasizes freedom. Freedom to do PvE, PvP, or both. You could spend your labor on simulating Farmville. Maybe you want to do trade runs? Maybe you were a number cruncher with spreadsheets for crafting lucratively? Maybe you and your friends want to kill other players and take their stuff? That's great! Do it! Everybody could find a niche for their own enjoyment. Most of these activities granted a fair amount of silver/labor, causing them to be both efficient and fun.

The Problem Part 1: Freedom and efficiency

The ArchePass counteracts this sandbox element. Obviously, I know it doesn't take away the freedom to do these things, but it does something arguably as bad. It takes away the efficiency of these actions. It ignores the concept of silver/labor. This concept is the heart of the ArcheAge economy. Progression is limited by our natural labor regeneration. Hate it or love it, it allows for balanced development of economies. The ArchePass tosses this all away. You can generate 1000g a week (post nerf) from the ArchePass without the need to spend a single point of labor (not even factoring in ArchePass rewards).

What happens to the freedom of a competitive player? Someone who plays hours a day and wants to keep up, not surpass, but simply stand a small chance against more active players? This competitive player needs to be efficient. He needs to maximize not only his silver/labor ratio, but also his silver/time ratio.

The ArchePass provides a certain silver/time ratio X. At this point, any activities that provide a ratio less than X are inefficient. Since it's guaranteed these activities also cost labor, the ArchePass becomes an even more attractive option. Ultimately, the ArchePass will devolve the META into: log in, complete ArchePass dailies, do a quick ~2880 labor dump, log out.

TLDR: You still have the freedom to do whatever you want in AAU. It's just going to feel a lot worse knowing the ArchePass+rapid labor dumping may be a more efficient route of gameplay.

The Problem Part 2: Daily Grinding and Randomized Design

The ArchePass is just an excuse for daily grinding. A poorly designed incentive system for players to log in for hours to do randomized daily quests. Due to the random nature of these activities, it's difficult to do them with friends/family members/guild mates. ArcheAge is a social game. Let people play the game together!

The Damage (It's not that bad)

People claim most of the gold is dumped into gear. That's fair. There will be a temporary gear imbalance where this first week of AAU is equivalent to several weeks of grinding for a latecomer. The impact of the ArchePass' poor design and exploitation (2 separate things) is temporary as long as the leak is plugged. There will be gear imbalance. Wynn and Deni seem to have significantly stronger East factions. (Laughing Coffin has already sprung into infamy for their mass unbans. The West in Deni doesn't have a guild to balance LC).

    The Solution

Connect the ArchePass' completion progress to labor and honor exclusively. Reward players for PvE, PvP, or both.

The Potential Drawback of this Solution

Alts will be granted a significantly advantage if a player can feasibly progress multiple characters in the ArchePass simultaneously. But diligent players running 3 accounts are going to progress faster anyway. They're already enjoying triple the labor and any land tax benefits.

I don't expect anyone to read this far, but thank you. I hope we can brainstorm a viable fix to the ArchePass together. Gamigo has been listening. They've fulfilled their promises. The ArchePass is a wonderful idea to avoid P2W, but just poorly executed. It's not too late to fix things.

    Archepass Exploit 2.0

    Posted: 23 Oct 2019 07:10 PM PDT

There is another exploit that you can do with the ArchePass. My original post was removed by moderators as there was too much details and they did not want people abusing the pass even more.

It is possible to get the same zone of killquests 100 times in a row. To make matters worse, you can kill critters to complete the quest. You can also do this on multiple characters. It only takes 1-2 hours to complete the 100 kill quests doing so this way. You can do this on multiple characters and easily farm 500g per character.

Proposal to move Hiram/Quest dailies to Archepass

    Posted: 23 Oct 2019 01:44 PM PDT

With all of the discussions of the Archepass being abused too much, being too incentivized over doing regular activities, and how the game forces everyone to spend most of their time doing dailies, I wanted to write up a quick suggestion from the perspective of having XL Games do the least amount of work as possible to create a better game by reusing systems already in place.

This suggestion is to accomplish 3 goals:

    1) Have the Archepass give us gameplay that we regularly do anyways, instead of having to go out of our way to accomplish tasks that are meaningless.

    2) Use the new weekly system in the Archepass to let people complete these regular tasks at their own pace.

    3) Reduce or remove the "daily run" of events that everyone feels like they need to do each day, to instead have people go out and do whatever they want to do, focusing on whatever they want, and get to do whatever content they want.

To accomplish all of these things we have to do two things.

    1) Remove all daily grind quests (excluding big boss kills like the Eastern Hiram ones). This includes kill quests in Reedwind, WHM, EHM, Diamond shores.

    2) Extend Archepass and replace current tiers that give gold, to give Hiram Infusions, Hiram Upgrade Scrolls, Synthium Shards (costume/underwear), Synthesis Stone (cloak), vocation, and maybe also guild XP instead. By "extend" I mean to give us 10-20 missions in the Archepass in multiple zones all active at the same time, so that if you happen to be farming in Western Hiram Mountains, you'll also be completing missions that have to do with rewarding the Hiram Infusions + Hiram Scrolls you would regularly get from Western Hiram Mountains and those dailies. Please do not let us have to click on these missions every reset, too, automatically start them all instead.

Another way to put (2) in case it's confusing, you know how each of the 4 missions in the Archepass is a specific set of possible missions? Separate all possible missions out into individual missions that are always active, and based on the mission location give rewards that are similar to the current daily quests. Instead of gold, boss missions yield Synthium Shards, WHM gives yellow scrolls and blue hiram infusions, EHM gives red scrolls and blue hiram infusions, reedwind gives blue scrolls and infusions, and so on.

I'm sure there are flaws with this system too that people can point out- I can think of a few because of the 100 weekly cap on missions meaning that people have to pick and choose exactly what they want to spend their time doing- but the goal of this post is like I said, to bring together an idea that requires lesser effort from XL Games but enables better gameplay.

Archeage: The Current State of the Game

    Posted: 23 Oct 2019 06:16 PM PDT

TL;DR: The game doesn't feel like a sandbox, open world experience. It's far too streamlined and linear. Do you agree? What would you change? I'm having more fun reading these forums than I am playing currently, so I figured I'd open a fresh discussion, from a newbie's point of view.

Let me first preface this by asking you all to take this with a grain of salt, it's simply my opinion on the state of the game from a newbie to the game itself, but a deluded veteran player when it comes to MMO's in general. I'd also like to state that I harbor absolutely no ill will towards Gamigo -- as a publisher there's very little that they can really do. My ire falls solely on XLGames.

Okay, this is coming from someone who's relatively new to Archeage in its current state, but has done quite a bit of research into how the game used to play, at least in the alpha. I have gripes as well as all of you, but the game is so bankrupt when it comers to fun in its current state that I figured I"d come here to share my thoughts, and hopefully get some opinions from the community as a whole.

We all know that the Archepass is in a sorry state right now; I don't think anyone is disagreeing with that. My Archepass is currently bugged until I spend gilda stars to unlock my quests simply because I wanted to play the game and try to at the very least stay competitive, despite how mind-numbing it was, but the game decided to lock the pass after I finished my seventeenth quest, so that's yet another thing I won't be doing and will fall further behind because of it.

Beyond that, Archeage feels like a phantom of its former self. I came into Unchained expecting that the game would be a crafter and gatherer's wet dream: combat at sea and land needs to be supported with ships, ammunition, consumables, arms and armor -- there were so many niches to be filled in the economy and plenty of room for competition not only in pvp, but also in the market itself. The sheer thought of this left me blissfully ignorant of what the game actually was and what it would never return to being. I took the dive in hopes of finding a game that was wholly unique in comparison to any of the other MMO's I've ever played. What I found is something that definitely is different, but is hamstrung by horrible business and design choices over the years, leaving the game with a sketchy economy, useless early-game trade skills, and a bee-line to end game PVP content and no-life shenanigans that honestly weren't what I expected from a game like Archeage, but I very well should have.

As for itemization: I understand people who defend the Hiram system, really I do, but when you think about it from the perspective of a player that enjoys crafting and building for the community, it really guts 90% of what an arms and armor craftsman can really do for the community. Do you think anyone is going to buy low level gear when they know they're just going to be able to upgrade the same ugly set of gear to the next tier while they chase the green quests? No, players are going to do the most efficient, cheapest thing possible, and there's absolutely no reason to use gear either purchased from the marketplace or looted over this soulless set of freebie gear that you can wear to max level. Maybe that's for the best, since all everyone does anymore are dailies in the game and incessant world-boss grinding that reminds me more of Guild Wars 2 than it does a game like Ultima Online.

Nobody is special. Nobody looks different at all outside of wearing a different variation of their Hiram gear. Well, I guess that's the case unless you pay for the privilege.

I can't defend this. Archepass, Hiram gear, and the labour trickle feel so anti-fun that I can't really reap any true sense of enjoyment out of my playtime because it feels more like a linear slog that an adventure in a world that you can do practically anything. Will I keep playing? Here and there, but I'm not going to try and be competitive. That opportunity was lost to me days ago. I'm happy with the playtime that I've gotten out of the game: just going from level one to fifty five was an interesting journey, and I absolutely adore the look of the world, and the music. I even enjoy the banter of the community at times for as crude as it can be; you lot have made me chuckle, especially during trials, and there's definitely the spark of a something special there that I haven't seen in other MMO's.

I guess I just wanted so much more out of this game that it can deliver.

    Bikeman's Archeage Unchained rant

    Bikeman's Archeage: Unchained rant

It hurts my soul to admit that I pretty much agree with him. Unchained feels like an empty shell of what it used to be and what it used to be (and still is at its core) is a great game that is being horribly mismanaged by the Korean overlords. Gamigo is doing their best to make the game succeed but there is a hard limit of what they are able to do. I'm just afraid that what they are doing is simply just not enough.

One of the hardest things in life is to let go of the things you love and Archeage is no exception. It feels like getting back to a relationship with a toxic ex and the only reason you are doing that is because you haven't found anything better yet.

Only time will tell if things will eventually get any better but I wouldn't bet money on it. I'm worried that the good memories of the past (and they truly were the best memories) aren't able to carry this game much longer because that's what they are, just good memories from the past.

Replace Archepass gold rewards with Diligence coins. Adjust diligence store accordingly.

    Posted: 23 Oct 2019 08:41 AM PDT

Honestly this is the best suggestion I've seen or heard. Diligence coins will do at least 3 things:

    A) It will make diligence easier to obtain, as right now you get 45 dili at level 4 or 5 of your Archepass, then it repeats a decent chunks of levels later.

    B) It will make trading and land ownership much more viable, as gold won't be so readily available by killing dungeon bosses, or 10/20/30 of a zone's mobs.

    C) It will make the Archepass optional. You wouldn't need to do the Archepass if you didn't want diligence. This will alleviate a lot of issues people have with the Archepass, due to it no longer being absolutely mandatory to be competitive.

How I would recommend setting it up:

Kill 10/20/30 mobs (Preferably anywhere, but we can make a specific zone work): 1 / 2 / 3 diligence coin, depending on the number.

Vocation missions: 5 diligence coins, 10 vocation badges. Only the vocation badges increase depending on the difficulty of the mission

Dungeon / PvP mission: 10 diligence, and 100-300 honor, depending on the difficulty.

    World Boss: 15 diligence. Flat.

This would make diligence a hell of a lot easier to obtain then it is now, and would give people an optional reason to complete the dailies, as well as bringing back reason and purpose to the economy systems built into the game.

Thanks for reading, I'm open to discussion about why you think this would or would not work. Hope we can get through to Gamigo.

The ArchePass is the most unfun system ever implemented in ArcheAge [aka 10 hours of killquests per week]

    Posted: 23 Oct 2019 09:08 AM PDT

We had some dumb shit in the last couple of years. We had regrading. We had gems breaking all currently socketed gems when failing one. We have pirate player caps. We had and still to a lesser extent have AltAge.

But what the fuck is the ArchePass even?

Its a bunch of completely random missions that are completely boring and pointless, yet so rewarding you cant really affort to skip them.

They are apparently intentionally set up to be solo missions (since you always get random ones and if you do them with a friend the chances of getting the same one are abismal).

disclaimer: the following is read under the assumption that you want to be competetive and max out your pass every week in order to get all the labor possible. Doing less is obviously an option but will set you behind massively.

You have to do 100 (ONE HUNDRED!) of them EVERY WEEK. You get 6 rerolls a day which is kinda cool, but you can roll shit like WB kills for 10g all the time if ur unlucky.

I havent met a single player in my guild or outside of it who actually enjoys the archepass. NOT A SINGLE ONE.

I think its fair to say that the goal of making it "like fornites battle pass" has been failed by MILES. Like not even close. This ArchePass is torture. I hate every minute I have to spend on it, but hey, it gives me about 15k labor a week so you cant really afford to miss it, can you? And lets not even talk about bugs/exploits that came with it (allthough fixed now but they still damaged the economy in ridiculous ways).

    How would i fix it?

    1. Make it a fixed set of missions for each week so you can do it in a group. This will also focus the population into certain areas of the map, making for some fun pvp
    2. Reduce the amount of missions needed. 14 missions a day is REDICULOUS. Like what the fuck were they thinking? Even the 12 we had initially was too much imo but 14 missions take like 2 hours+ if you unlucky with what you get
    3. Change the missions. They are boring to a point where I want to quit the game when i think about having to do 70 more of them by saturday in order to be competetive. Im not asking to get free shit, I believe that if you want to have something special you should do something special. But spamming random killquests is hardly something special in my mind tbh. It feels braindead and boring. Dont make it honor, make it PvP kills (so quests dont count) and reduce the amount needed. Dont make it "Kill X mobs in Y zone" make it "Get X xp (in Y continent if you really want to differentiate there)" so you dont have to port around random zones nobody cares about killing lvl 50 mobs for 10 hours a week (assuming it only takes you 6 minutes per quest which is a pretty fast time btw)

Also, a friendly reminder that this used to be 12 missions a day. It was raised to 17/day to make it less punishing to miss a day and then changed to 100/week which equals about 14.2 missions per day. So you have to do more/day now but people praise gamigo for the great change. "OK you have to do 2 more boring kill missions per day to max out your stuff" being met with applause and whiteknighting threats blows my mind. SMH my head guys!

If you're going to unban them because they didn't use the exploit, fine... but they still took advantage of a game mechanic that you then nerfed 80% meaning that they are returned to the player pool with a significant advantage that others arriving at that stage cannot also take advantage of.

    Fine.

Then remove 80% of their gold too as you unban them.

    This Game Is a Shell

    Posted: 23 Oct 2019 09:43 PM PDT

Let me start by saying, I'm someone who loves archeage. I genuinely feel that it was one of the best mmos created. It gave me memories and feelings that other mmos couldn't.

Needless to say when Unchained was announced I was excited at the prospect of no p2w and the traction it was gaining was amazing. Memories of pirating ships, large diamond shore pvp battles and staging my families hundreds of cheese larders in halcy came flooding back.

Fast forward to now, we're a little over 1 week in, I'm 4.2k gearscore, and after basically no-lifing the game for the past week I've come to the conclusion that this game is a shell of its former self.

This isn't about any one issue in particular, it's about all the small changes along the way.

First, the new trade system lacks the freedom that made the old system so great. People bottleneck in to a few ports and packs in general just aren't as good as they once were.

Second, unchained clearly isn't a polished product. Arenas dont work, noryette bugs out, the labor is set for a p2w economy so everyone is constantly labor starved.

Third, the thing everyone has been talking about, dailies. This game truly should be renamed to dailyage. It's just one thing after another. Your hiram dailies, your cr/gr/halcy/whalesong/aegis/luscas and to top it off you've got to grind that oh so great archepass that's filled with favorites like "win a sparring match" when you cant queue for sparring.

It is clear to me at this point that this game is really in more of a beta state. It should've never been released to the public because it's simply not ready.

I believe they just sat down, said "okay what is considered p2w?" And then took all of those items and threw them in the diligence shop. The issue with doing that is it doesn't actually help rebalance the game because the game is still designed around stuff like p2w labor pots etc.

In order for unchained to be successful in my opinion it has to be more than just ripping out all the p2w items and then throwing players the remnants. What we're playing right now is just a shell.

[Math Explanation] Why the Gold "Exploited" while is bad, does not matter. #MathAge

    Posted: 23 Oct 2019 10:51 AM PDT

Hi, first of all I want to say thank you for who will brave enough to read through this... Since it will be a long post, I know that a lot of people will be scared or bored beforehand.

Anyway, I'm Harvest... A lot of people already know me for my Min-Maxing and Theorycraft or Formula-Making for ArcheAge, like the Damage Calculation SpreadSheet, the Def Pen vs Crit Damage Guide, Class Gear/Ability Tips & Ecc.

Since I'm always been an amateur MMORPG Economist and a Theorycrafter/Min-Maxer, when something like that happen I try to rationalize it, try to make some math about it and search for a clear and concrete answer not based on emotion/disappointment/rage.

I hate both White-Knights and Doomsayers, I hate any form of bias or opinionated statement since it does not bring anything constructive on the table.

I always try to stay objective and remove "feelings" or opinions on what I analize, since doing otherwise would be pointless for what I usually do.

Before beginning we need to make some point clear, because without them all of that would not have any kind of sense.

    1. I will always be exagerating towards the worst case scenario (That would make people understand better that what happened while is bad, is not really a huge problem for the Community, Economy or the Server Balance/Stability in the long-term)
    2. Unchained has been released the 15 of October, people started to do WB Raids in a reiable way (A side from Minor Bosses examples: Dewnstone/Lilyut) on the 19 of October, so the Days where it was possible to do it are the 19, 20, 21, 22.. So 4 Days.
    3. People took for granted that EVERY DAY, EVERY PLAYERS did EVERY WB 17/17, while for some is true, for the large majority is not... (Don't worry we will take in consideration the full 17/17)
    4. People took for granted that who did the WB-Chain had a net of 850G and people who didn't do it got nothing from the ArchePass... That's one of the worst misconception, people still did ArchePass Missions and got money, even without doing WB. That mean that the difference in Gold between who did WB-Chain and who did not is thinnier of what people think or spread to the mass.
    5. Nearly everyone that did the WB-Chain, spent all the money on Upgrading their Gear, so they money-sinked pretty much everything, that reduced the impact of the large influx of Gold in the Economy (I see a lot of "Lumber price was so high! It's because of the exploiters!", false, in every release of ArcheAge Lumber ALWAYS had that price range proportion before and after the Land-Rush, it's simple supply-demand. I would say that the Gold from the ArchePass had literally zero impact in the Economy, it hardly increased the base-prince (I was indeed surprised of how little of an impact the ArchePass had), but that is due to EVERYBODY having more Gold).
    6. People that spent all their money, labor and time on Gear, while getting an advantage early on in PvP... They hindered their Gold-Making Preparation, since probably they thought they would always be able to do so much Gold from the ArchePass... While that made them win the Sprint, will make them be in disadvantage in the Marathon compared to other people who didn't even do WB-Chain but focussed on creating their Empire... There are already people with 3 Built Farm/Farmhouse and 6Pack Hauler (Working toward the 8Pack Hauler) that will make so much money to make these 3400G (850x4) look pale in comparison.
    7. Hiram Gear soak up so much Money that 4k Gold make literally no difference, you will see after I do the math the advantage in % (Mostly on Stats) is so small that you will laugh at yourself for thinking so bad of the situation (And that is good, it mean that you understood)...
    8. How much money can someone make? How much 3/4K Gold is in terms of time? A person with a single Account and an already establish GOOD Money-Making method can probably do it in 1 week (And I'm being pretty large, since I know people who did more in less with a single Account).
    9. How many people REALLY made that much Gold? We know pretty much the exact number range... Since in the first Ban Wave Gamigo banned ALL the Players that did too much WBs (Regardless if they used the Exploit or the poor designed Quest Pool-Mechanic of the ArchePass... And this is the reason why some people got unbanned), and the number was "More than 200 Players", that means a range from 200 to 300 people... These 300 People need to be divided BETWEEN EU and NA, Server by Server and Faction by Faction, making it a number so small that their impact on the Server health is and will be close to zero.
    10. All that shock about the situation probably comes from a large portion of the New or Returning Players, that probably don't know how things works now and don't know the real value of Gold... Nothing bad on that, but it created a lot of confusion and drama for nothing... While is always good to voice concerns and make a Pubblisher/Developers understand a mistake, doing it like that will only be bad for the Game itself... And since you people are so vocal about it, it's because they care about it... But if you really care, don't discourage at playing other Players (Both who still didn't started and who already started).

Now let's start with actual numbers, since you are probably here for that... But I needed to make some points before starting, since are pretty fundamental to being able to understand the situation.

Let's assume that these Players got ALWAYS 850G a day for everyday that was possibile to do it, let's assume they did it for ONE MORE DAY than it was realistically possible... So 5 Days, 850x5=4250Gold.

People that didn't the WB-Chain still used the ArchePass, these people could still make WB Quests occasionally, Dungeon Quests that gave 35G, or other Quests that gave 10/25G... Since I said at the beginning that I will go for the Worst case scenario, let's assume that people only got an Average of 10G per Quest (It for sure a lot more, probably around 25G, but as said before, let's assume the worst)... So people got 170x5=850G.

So the Difference in health is 4250-850=3400G. (I will point out once again that I added one more day of WB-Chain and used a lower Average on the people that didn't do it).

We need to take in consideration these 3400G that some Players had as a plus compared to other Players, lets assume that they spent EVERY SINGLE GOLD (Which you can already tell is false, since you need to buy Hereafters, Buffs, Repairs, Potions, Food & Ecc... That would probably cut off at least 100G or depending on the Player even double it).

To get a Full Hiram Set to T3 Epic you need 2.6M EXP (Yeah 2.600.000), every 250EXP cost around 3.5G... That mean that they had a 240K more exp... That is translated in 10.8%, and you could say "10% is a lot!", not really, since 250k EXP is literally need for the Chest Piece to go from T3 Unique to T3 Epic, so if you for example start upgrading your Gear and you left your Chest piece Behind... You will reach a point where who did the WB-Chain will have all Epic, and you would have all Epic aside from your Chest Piece that would still be Unique...

And for who is familiar on how Stats works in ArcheAge(I hope to had given some contribute to that in my "career" of no-life Theory-Crafter) you gain literally NOTHING from having only one Piece left behind (Since the Stat gain from Grade to Grade or Even Tier to Tier is pretty low, and most of the Stats that matter comes from Gems)... ArcheAge in terms of Stats and Bonus, should be called Stack-Age... Since the single bonus from one piece (A side from the DPS of the Weapon, that is the most important thing) do not make a real difference in the big picture or on your Performance.

But let's not stop here, since ArcheAge do not stop at Epic T3 (but let's call it the Soft-Cap, since is a good starting point and is really fast to obtain if you know (Or learn) how to make money)

The EXP Required to Achieve the T4 Legendary is pretty much the Double of the EXP needed to reach Epic, that mean that this advantage will become pretty much non-existential (Without even taking in consideration Mythic or Eternal Grade, that would make that "advantage" close to 1%)

Also I would add that since the Upgrading from Tier to Tier is RNG Gated, they were forced to evenly spread the EXP on all their Gear (This is why the GS of these people is so high), while it sound the smartest choice, that give the opportunity to people to focus mainly on the Weapon and have pretty much the same results with less Gear.

So what we did here? We took the most catastrophic scenarios:

    1. Took in consideration people doing more WBs than what they did and ALWAYS being able to do it.
    2. Took in consideration people that did not do WB-Chain doing less money than what they really did (So increasing the Gap in Money).
    3. Assuming that these people spent every single Gold in upgrading their Gear without any needed expense or wasted gold.
    4. Assuming that this "Advantage" will stay that way, not taking in consideration people that didn't do WB-Chain and focussed on creating their own money empire, meaning that they will catch up faster (And probably surpass) who spent all the money in Gear.

And what is the result? A result that bring to the conclusion that in not even one month from now their advantage will be pretty much gone and for the majority of them will probably be a bait on not focussing in long-term gain, making them easily reachable in terms of GS.

With that I only wanted to clarify what happened, and while is bad, and some people have for sure the right to be mad... This will not have any impact in the Game, the Main Servers will still be the Main Servers, the Secondary Servers will still be the Secondary Servers... And all the people that wanted to change Server will not probably do it, or if they do it they will probably regret it and be stuck in an unpleasant situation where the majority of people will realize all that and the Server Population will stay like it is right now and they will be left behind on their real Main Server.

The Economy had literally zero consequences from what happened for various reasons:

    1. Gold getting Sinked from Hiram.
    2. Only few people compared to the Servers Population doing the WB-Chain.
    3. Economy of ArcheAge being so big, "crowded" and complicated that you would need so much gold to influence it that even if the ArchePass would've been changed the next week nothing would've changed.

I hope to have cleared some of the fears that a lot of New or Returning Players (And also some Veterans that made the emotions takes over) have, it really make me feel sad seeing a lot of people being scared of starting to play the Game or people wanting to Quit for something like that.

We finally got an ArcheAge without P2W after 5 Years, is a shame treating it like that, even if something didn't went perfectly accorting to plan.

As I said is bad, XLGames overlooked on to that and had ripercussion on our Game experience, but thankfully they reacted (Even if not in the fastest way) and we got lucky that the Damage is not even near to being fatal, in a matter of weeks people will not even feel the difference...

So if you think someone feel insecure/disappointed about that situation, make him read this Thread, if you care about the Game, your Server, your Character and the future of ArcheAge thats probably the only thing we can do, trying to minimize the damage that the bad advertising, drama and frustration this situation caused.

For making a Joke, let's see eachother in some months when the Potato-Farmers will start to rise from their farms with 12k GS made from Fruits Puree and Feathers :D

I'm a no-one and a Player like you, just one that like to analyze the various situations (Being them Economic or InGame Statistics/Attributes/Mechanics related), so I really hope to had cleared some doubts or worries so people can start to feel serene again and begin to improve themself as Players and try to think about the future on how to make steady money and improve also their Characters!

See you guys! Let's start worrying less and having fun more.

LC Corruption - Alting, Exploiting, Blackmailing & Corruption

LC Corruption - Alting, Exploiting, Blackmailing & Corruption

holy crap everyones dropping plats, golds and silvers, thanks so much guys but its really not needed :P

And those of you DMing me asking what server, faction & name East Denistrious - Lako

Many LC members were recently banned from arche age unchained for the exploiting. Magically, they were all unbanned with no repercussions. This to me was very odd behavior.

Two nights before the banwave, they were boasting in Nation chat on West East Denistrious offering 10,000 gold for 500-600 Gilda. They advertised it numerous times for that and even confirmed it in the chat with me.

Rumors of LC abusing the exploit was everywhere, nation chat had been lighting up and discord chats were off the charts with anger about the subject. I decided to see if I could scrape up any details on the subject of LC and its members abusing the system or exploiting.

I was approached by Grieve after one of his members vet'd me and talk with me the previous night, the image i sent him was clearly photoshopped, its obviously a low level account with many new-toon items. Somehow these people didn't manage to catch that.

Proof that this is his discord account.https://i.gyazo.com/95fabc3ab4676bde980345269d5d0cec.png

    https://i.redd.it/nc6exey1w6u31.png

I had to have a reason to back out of the trade, it's not my intention to scam anyone or leave them hanging. I just wanted to see what information I could scrape up on them, they will add an obvious counterclaim that I was trying to "scam" them. But this is far from the truth of the matter, I don't need nor want exploited gold.

    https://i.redd.it/f9dwrwojw6u31.png

The were banned in mass just a little bit before this occured,it took him 25 minutes to respond about the "bank" being online. It's odd that they use bank accounts to store gold on, why would their main accounts not possess their gold, it's strange, and unusual behavior - evidence of this can be seen on his twitch account https://www.twitch.tv/grieve_sic it's very strange for a group that possesses over 10,000 gold that their big boy has only 25 gold on his main account.

    https://i.redd.it/ic1juoa3x6u31.jpg

I continue on with the conversation and ask inquire about the recent bans, using it as a reason to be "nervous" with him as a buyer. He confirms they were banned for exploiting the world bosses but then states "it wasn't an exploit" which is a contradictory statement.

    https://i.redd.it/osqk0mojx6u31.png

He manages to get the alt online and having 4,000 gold ready to trade, lets not forget, 6,000 gold went missing from the times of advertising and the bans. It sounds like they had some accounts that did not get unbanned, which makes me believe they were using members who abused - or had alt accounts on VPNs to generate revenue for themselves. He's now ready to trade, and I have to backpedal away, I have no gilda to trade him nor do I want to obtain any duped gold.

    https://i.redd.it/d610p0zux6u31.png

I start backpedaling and tell him that the bans scare me to try to bring them into inquiry again, prodding for a response of defensive nature.

    https://i.redd.it/7we7g83fy6u31.png

    https://i.redd.it/d75hgg5iy6u31.png

    https://i.redd.it/ahiwrggny6u31.png

    https://i.redd.it/621imzcpy6u31.png

I back out of the deal, I tell him "Good luck finding another seller, I hope you find it soon", this offended him and made him very aggressive. He was denied what he wanted and he couldnt handle it. He starts to threaten to "Blacklist" me if I don't trade with him. This is where it gets spicy.

    https://i.redd.it/astto9bty6u31.png

From there, I tell him how i'd received other messages from players warning me not to trade with them, and then tell him to have a good day and that I hope him well.

    https://i.redd.it/flnswmq6z6u31.png

He then brings staff names into the conversation saying "Either way, 600 gilda, I'll be messaging Krohlan" I tell him I don't know who that is - he states "the CM who got our suspensions lifted lmao"

What is he trying to achieve here, why would he bring staff members into a talk about trades moments after trying to blackmail me and threaten me into trading, honestly, this whole situation seems very suspicious, either this staff member is in on this, or this guy is abusing his name and threatening people with the names of staff members.

    https://i.redd.it/1u93whrdz6u31.png

EDIT:Thank you mysterious redditor for sending in more context to Krohlan being affiliated with LC in the past.

    https://i.redd.it/go195ort27u31.png

I'm not sure on reddits rules, however I feel this is additives to the context that they are more connected that it appears.(I have blurred their faces to protect their private identities) (However this is at a public event, so I believe I legally can show it, however, legally or not legally, I won't show their faces for out of respect for the individual, despite their actions)

Left is Krohlan, middle is Kiritohttps://i.gyazo.com/b0fa4f1d024e4403fd9dac66aa94ed67.png

    Edit:
I know it may seem like I am believing some of these accusations, however I'm personally reserved on the notion, its not my intent to say that Krohlan is at fault, I'm not worried if he's biased or not, I highly doubt he is.

I am wanting to bring notion that Laughing Coffin is using staff names with or without their consent in regards to blackmailing players to influence trades or deals that benefit them, as well to highlight how suspicious it is that they're throwing staff names out as "the CM that got us unbanned" as well as some other minor details such as pictures with both suspected individuals.

    TL;DR
Krohlan looking sus as hell, kirito is toxic and should be banned for exploiting and using staff names to influence players.

Well this is disgusting. Wynn discord pretty much telling people to get bent.

    Posted: 23 Oct 2019 12:13 PM PDT

So tyr discord was mad pinging everyone during the short ban time. Dennis wasn't pinging but it seems that's because they were too busy begging the CM they know to unban them. BUT WYNN.

Well, they were freaking out too. HOWEVER. Wynn finally released a ping to the whole server, and uh. Whoo boy. Wow. This game is fucked if you ask me LOL. I don't want to spam this with screenshots as you can literally just join the discord and view the post yourself. But uh, its pretty disgusting.

The post essentially recaps the situation and clarifies that people who used the OTHER exploit that gamingo didn't know about to get tons of world bosses, are not going to get banned even though they literally used an exploit, but because they weren't warned or anything its fine, because in TWO TO THREE MONTHS THINGS WILL BALANCE OUT. LMFAO!!

Ok, sure man, how convenient that's around the time of january/febuary i.e the months people will have probably dropped the game after dealing with the bullshit disparity caused by this nonsene. Right.

Whats even more disgusting is how they are saying a large migration is being planned to move to the newest server (Jergant). Right. Ok, sounds cool. But what about your preorder stuff, well don't worry, they have premade text messages you can use from a handy dandy paste bin to help ease your boot out the door experience- I mean, re-roll. Because they are here to "help". Right...Ok. So let me get this straight.

A large handful of people EXPLOITED THE GAME. Gamingo only caught ONE of the exploits, and warned people not to do it. So people used the OTHER one instead which had the same result. Fucking up the play experience of everyone else on the server. The solution? Force everyone else who didn't benefit from that exploit off the server onto an "untouched" server where THEY are the ones who have to restart from scratch and start a new character.

    WHAT, THE ACTUAL, FUCK.

So we just got 2008'ed? The big wealthy cunts who fucked the economy obtain a get out of jail free card while the rest of use lose are 401k? Our life savings? What the fuck is this fucking shit?!?!

NO! Fucking ban the little shits who invested thousands of gold into their gear. make THEM REROLL or WE stop fucking playing and demand a refund because some handful of people either know someone at gamingo or stream a fucking video game. This is fucking insane. Why are the regular players the ones being told to start over on some other server because some "elite" individuals want to fuck up the server for everyone else to grow there EPEEN. FUCK THAT!

What happens when another exploit is found huh? When a new archepass fuck up happens? Or something unrelated? What then? What new server will the dirty peasants be able to flock to then huh? NONE.

This sets one hell of a precedent, a precedent showing that people can get away with shit like his, and the majority has to suffer. If that is what they are all about, I encourage others to demand a refund for this disgusting act. If not, what will you do when it happens again? Next time it will be too late to request a refund. It will be "TWO TO THREE MONTHS FROM NOW". Seriously people this is pretty fucked up, and we should speak with our wallets.

Can we just get 3.0 AA with no p2w

    Posted: 24 Oct 2019 12:25 AM PDT

Call it AA Classic. Make it sub based. Limit people to three accounts too, if you want. I want to play a game where I can be doing whatever I want to progress my gear, not just run mandatory dailies in 200-men raids to boost my gear until I inevitably run out of labour, labour that I actually need to make gold or do any activity that isn't some kind of 300 ppl shitty event with invisible mobs / pointless daily.

The arenas don't work, this gear system was meant for five year old servers, this extremely scuffed labour system exists with the idea of mass alts + labor pots, people used to go everywhere in the open world to make gold the way they liked, now all people do is a bunch of dailies. I haven't seen the seas that dead since, well, ever. The only people I see are a few lowbies doing their farm quests and a spam of faction lads on the safe ferry.

Bring back decent 3.0 AA. Add Swiftblade/Malediction, ancestral levels and some of the newer events to it. Remove this Archepass nonsense. All most of us have ever wanted was good ol' AA with no p2w. Not this streamlined, railroaded themepark daily-infested nightmare where no one goes on the seas, crafting is largely irrelevant, most of the game's concepts are now useless (Archeum, Sunpoints/Moonpoints, etc.). This is terrible.

    "Zero Tolerance on Abusing Exploits"

    Posted: 22 Oct 2019 06:38 PM PDT

These fools really out here trying to grab land in Villanelle

    Posted: 23 Oct 2019 04:36 PM PDT

I have fond memories of the initial ArcheAge release.

    Posted: 23 Oct 2019 04:14 PM PDT

When the game was truly sandbox, without all this daily bullshit and having to do so much shit to be slightly relevant.

I remember mirage island was flooded with mongs, racing the cars and playing bumping cars with the wagons, people dancing on the big ass yatch. I remember going around finding random hidden treasure chests on land and in sea. Good times, anyway I gotta go finish off my dailies/chores now.
