2-hand melee VS dual wield melee - ArcheAge Video Guide Posted: 03 May 2019 08:39 AM PDT https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RB88JYta8A4 With the recent influx of new and returning players coming back to ArcheAge, I have been getting a lot of messages on Reddit, YouTube and in game with a multitude of class related questions about choices between armour, weapons, gems, classes or builds. This is combined with the fact that a lot of people have been discussing how all the information you find on ArcheAge is now sorely outdated and irrelevant. In order to fill this need within the community, I have taken it upon myself to begin to share my knowledge about the game in the form of video discussions and build guides revolving mostly around the PVP and PVE side of ArcheAge. My first small series of guide videos will be everything melee related. Starting with 2h weapons vs 1h weapons, which you will find a link to in this post, I will follow up with other baseline guides including an armour guide, a weapon style guide and a lunagem guide. Once I have established these baseline guides that are important to all melee classes, I will then move into build specific guides (Darkrunner, Blade Dancer, Shadowblade, Executioner, etc). 2-Hand VS 1-Hand video guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RB88JYta8A4 Once I have comfortably tackled the melee video series I will then move into mage territory, covering all the same aspects as my melee side of things. With the hours I have spent playing both melee and mage I feel like I am more than capable of providing reliable information to those who may seek out my videos. Any unanswered question you might have about my 2h vs 1h video please leave in the comments here or on YouTube and I will happily cover anything you think I may have missed. [link] [comments]
Sharing some of my activity on how I went on about gearing my character! Posted: 03 May 2019 03:39 PM PDT Heya! I'm currently more or less 2 weeks in the game since I started as a returning player and I wanted to share what I did/doing to gear up as fast as possible, since I'm more of a combat type of player, so it was my main goal in ArcheAge! This isn't "the best" type of tip or anything, so if anyone's got a better suggestion, feel free to share your own tip! Also this is coming from the perspective of someone who only plays with 1 account. If you're the type of player who don't mind making alts, I would highly recommend that, for it will make the game more enjoyable for you! I personally don't like alts, so I avoid it as much as I can and so far so good, honestly! Hiram Dailies: - 6 in Western Hiram Mountains (1 from Hiram Cave, 2 from Illusion Cave, 3 from Marketplace>Award>Gold) - 1 in Reedwind - 1 in Sungold Fields - 1 in Exeloch - 1 in Diamond Shores As soon as I hit Lv55, I started joining raids that do these on a daily basis! I started by taking the infusion bags until I slowly needed more scrolls, when my Hiram is getting at a high grade. For gearing up, I highly recommend getting your main stat on every piece possible, while focusing a bit on your main weapon to help you kill faster. Getting main stat on every piece helps you hit your accuracy cap and boosts your crit chance a lot and overall increase your damage potential! I farmed abyssal legion mobs at Heedmar and Nuimar for new hiram pieces that I needed to replace, because I couldn't get my main stat + 2 good stats at all, which happened A LOT to me unfortunately lol. Honor Dailies & Some Extra Infusion Bags: - Crimson Rift - Grimghast Rift - Whalesong Harbor - Aegis Island - Mistmerrow CR and GR is pretty much the easiest to get into and a must do for sure. Everything else is OKAY to miss, but I wouldn't pass on it, if it's available in nation chat! Whalesong Harbor and Aegis Island dailies rewards you with two bound items that needs 50 of them to combine to a tradable item that's used for crafting. I personally sell these for an extra gold income! Instance raids: - Fall of Hiram - Red Dragon - Golden Plains These are your biggest honor points sources. I was fortunate enough to do them below 4k gearscore and helped me a lot to get over 4k gearscore, but now that they added a 4k gearscore requirement, you'll have to do a bit of work before getting into these raids. Income without using labor: - Selling Honor Points were the bulk of my gold income in the early stage. I didn't find the need to use my honor points for gems and whatnot at first, so I just sold mine for gold to help me on synthesizing my gear. I slowly started using it for gems, once I was satisfied at the grade and stats of my hiram pieces. - Selling loyalty tokens. This kind of suck, because there's a lot of cute things you could get with loyalty tokens, but since I only play with 1 account and focusing on gearing as much as possible, I'm giving up vanity items for now. If you value vanity items more, you don't have to sell yours! - Selling Vocation Badges. Join a family! - Selling Guild Prestige. Join a guild! - Daily Contracts - World Bosses! A lot of the times when you get lucky at both seeing world bosses being announced in nation chat and getting a Gold Crate from the world bosses, you earn A LOT of gold from this! "Leftover labor" income: - Trade packs with the best silver per labor ratio - Studying the auction house which processed material I could sell with the best silver per labor ratio - Planting some crops/fruits/trees that yields the best silver per labor ratio before sleeping Silver per labor ratio, explaining it as SHORT as possible; means: Your Profit divided by Your Overall Labor Used = Silver per labor ratio. This can even go up to gold per labor, if you get creative enough! Which is very much possible, but you won't be burning A LOT of labor. They're mostly a one trick wonder kind of thing, which is good enough, really, so go and get creative by browsing the Auction House and the Crafting Folio a lot! With the way how Hiram gearing works, it's really hard to use your labor on making gold now. Before Hiram, You used to use almost ALL your labor to make gold so you could buy mediocre gear pieces in the ah. Now, you use almost ALL your labor to gear up your Hiram, which personally, I think is so much better, considering how there are lots of ways to make gold without using labor nowadays! ---------------- This was pretty much my activity within the 2 weeks of playing so far and I'm currently at sub 5k gearscore with a Divine T2 Hiram weapon and everything else at Celestial T1 Hiram with more than 2 perfect stats on every piece! "Perfect stat" being: Main Stat + Resilience on armours, Main Stat + Toughness on belt/wrist, Main Stat + Crit Dmg on weapons, and Main Stat + Main Attack on instrument! I probably missed a hecc ton of tips and/or probably could've done something better instead, so if you're an experienced player, please correct me or share your own tips! <3 [link] [comments]

Help Returning Player Auto Booted From Pirate Faction. Posted: 03 May 2019 09:41 AM PDT Hello folks. I've recently returned to the game and currently sit at 2906 Infamy and 2482 crime points after chugging a draught of forgiveness. Under the current ruleset is there a way for me to avoid massive jail time other than an inno verdict? By the info available and some napkin math I seem to be looking at many days in jail if my jurors throw the book at me. [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 May 2019 08:28 AM PDT can't decide what class to play as what would you suggest on this version of the game? [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 May 2019 08:17 AM PDT To those of you lads who regularly know what the hell you are talking about, I'm in for a bit of advice on which mode of arrows would be better overall. Any insight to this would be wonderful. Best of luck, Firris [link] [comments]

can Black Arrow quest still be completed? Posted: 03 May 2019 07:41 AM PDT Hey guys, just came back to the game and read that you have to buy black arrow with gilda now. However, I still have a quest to complete that would reward me with a black arrow using the purebred cert. Can it still be completed? [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 May 2019 06:32 AM PDT I see everyone say that powerstone pets are the best pets. Can anyone elaborate on this and can you let me know if there is some other way then waiting 4 months get one? [link] [comments]

Autorunning vehicle without numpad Posted: 02 May 2019 06:20 PM PDT Hi guys, I happen to have a shortened keyboard that does not have a numberpad using numlock to drive my vehicle straight. I have autorun bound as R but that is not the same as the vehicle and I cannot find the bind in the settings, is there something I might be missing, or a workaround? Also, where do I buy the outfits on Mirage Isle at ? I was looking at the griffon one, but I cannot find how much it cost or where to buy it. [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 May 2019 07:23 PM PDT Used to be DR way back in the day. Came back and played Executioner. Wondering what the new top melee meta is. I see that searching for stuff on Archeage is still as spotty as it ever was, but my impression is that it's still executioner with some people being edgy with blade dancer and dr build. Also a link to the cookie cutter build would be awesome. Any help from top people actually playing in raid v raid greatly appreciated. [link] [comments]
New player, curious as to what classes are "meta" Posted: 02 May 2019 10:15 PM PDT Title says it all really, I dabbled in the game maybe a year and a half ago, and have decided to return. I'm leaning more towards being a caster or ranged type character and I'd simply like to know what is the "best" at the minute for PvP and PvE. [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 May 2019 04:28 PM PDT I'm still fresh to the game and learning more and more everyday about it, but I can't seem to figure out how to level weaponry proficiency. From what I can see I need to buy items from the vendor that are 50 gold each just to start craft which is crazy since I don't know how to make gold yet. Is this really the only way to level it? Any advice on this would be helpful [link] [comments] |
