| Best Class for PvP / Burst PvP Posted: 19 May 2019 03:16 PM PDT hello all! I just started playing ArcheAge and I'm currently level 15, I was curious to what is the best class in PvP in terms of Burst DPS, I'm talking more over Large Scale PvP and 1v1's as well, I'd also like a class that's viable in PvE. I ended up picking the Sorcery tree as my primary and am welcome to any recommendations, I don't mind rerolling, from my research I've found Dark Runner or Dagger Spell to be the 2 most OP classes but the posts are a bit outdated. | Posted: 19 May 2019 08:59 AM PDT So I'm grinding my hiram gear, I plan on going spellsinger with cloth, scepter, and shield. I'm just wondering if there is any super important stats for certain pieces I should go for? Int is a given, but should I go for toughness/resilience on the armor? Is backstab Magic damage useful? Is it possible to roll the same stat twice on a piece? (Double crit on scepter) Also, does defense penetration and shield defense penetration apply to mages? [link] [comments]  | ||

| I CANT DOWNLOAD OR OPEN ARCHEAGE!!! Posted: 19 May 2019 05:01 AM PDT So i watched a pretty neat video on Archeage and decided to download it. Im not sure if its because i use a PIN instead of a admin password but i wasn't able to open Archeage after glyph downloaded all the data. i then thought it was a computer problem and restarted but it didn't seem to have a effect. i then noticed there was a version of Archeage on steam so i downloaded it that way. stream ended up opening another version of glyph and linked my glyph account to steam. after i did that i tried opening Archeage again and the same thing happened. (do you want Archeage to make changes to your device -> entering PIN -> screen disappears and not even a error code appears). does anyone know how to fix it or should i just give up on Archeage or if this is a global problem wait till they fix it [link] [comments]  | ||
| [I'm a returning player, here are my thoughts] Posted: 18 May 2019 06:52 PM PDT Hi all. I just started playing archeage about a month ago and I wanted to drop my two cents so far. I tried the Legacy servers, and they were pretty toxic to say the least. While they were populated, most people played in their own 'clicks', and I often was kicked for being accused of being an alt (alts are everywhere in this game). I got the returning player stuff, but no land. High ranked players are about 5-6 years ahead of us...I know i'll never catch up to them so I switched to the Fresh start server. When I loaded in, the chat was pretty alive, however the low level zones were pretty dead. Fresh start does have a lower population...not going to lie, but there is land EVERYWHERE. I was able to lay down 2 16x16's and 2 gyazbo farms next to each other and start farming. Since theirs less people or should I say carebears (i'm a carebear), there is a huge demand for mats (ground grain, dried flowers, chopped produce) and I was able to save up gold by selling mats, and purchase a merchant ship (so cheap here). Now I'm making my own mats, running my own packs, on my own merchant ship, and I got a guild to help me with it. I don't think I could of done this on the Legacy servers...theirs simply too many people and I don't think I would even be able to leave the shores without being swarmed by a guild. I could AFK with a boat full of packs on fresh start and when I come back, i'll still be alive! Everyday at 5pm, we get about 2 full raids for resets, (DS>WHM>Exeloch>Sungold>Reedwind), so I just follow the raid and get infusions to level my gear up even more! Everyone is chill, and while there are a few toxic people, it's still an enjoyable game to re-play. If you're a new player I would consider playing on the Nui (Fresh Start) server. While there are some elements of P2W, it's been toned down a lot to where it feels appropriate to call it Pay2Progress a bit faster. In my first month in, i'm almost at 4.5k gearscore. | Returning Player Classes Advice Posted: 18 May 2019 09:38 PM PDT Hey! I have rejoined the game after many many years to find 2 characters. I deleted both of them to start fresh and to be able to fully understand everything. I wanted to ask for advice about classes. I had a roleplay aesthetic I wanted each of them to fill. For one I wanted something like a melee mage so I found that I like Saboteur decently (SP - MAL - OCC) but unsure about the mal tree because it makes me feel more ranged even with the instant cast skills. The second one I wanted was something bard like (I haven't made this character yet) so I was thinking SoulSong (ARH - SC - VIT) but I read some threads about the archer class taking away from the healing potential. but they were rather old and I am not sure if that is still true with 5.0.
