Archepass needs daily login reward(s), not 16 dailies Posted: 21 Oct 2019 09:56 AM PDT Oh boy another archepass post ha ha I feel like daily login reward(s) would be one of the best changes to the pass. I don't think ANYONE should have to do 16 dailies to try and keep up with this shit. It's annoying, and unfair. You shouldn't even have to do any more than like 4 QUICK AND EASY dailies to get your credit towards this thing. If, for instance, when you logged in, and you just got 1 archepass level, everyone would get to level at the same kind of pace, and it would require the minimal effort of logging in. You get to progress, and get your labor and diligence coins without being a massive daily slave. Getting 1 level for logging in means it'd still take 44 days to complete a pass, and you could just give the players like 3-5 dailies as well for those who really want to level it faster. I tried posting this kind of suggestion on the forum, but for whatever reason the site kept givin me some URL error when tryin to submit the post so I came here instead, sorry. Posted: 21 Oct 2019 10:55 AM PDT Hey Gamingo, if you're really serious about punishing the players abusing the Archepass -- punish the players (aka Akamees raid) doing it on Wynn. For those out of the loop, there is one specific raid on Wynn that is camping CR/GR/WB's all day. THIS IS COMPLETELY FINE AND PART OF THE GAME. However, here's the problem: when you kill a a CR or GR boss, it counts towards any of the Archepass WB quest (Auroria, Haranya, Nuia). What are the odds that these same players always get the WB quests without switching passes? CR and GR also spawns two bosses, so you have the ability to kill one boss, finish the quest, then immediately kill the other boss and finish another quest equating to 100 gold. Here is what happens when the Akamee raid doesn't tag both bosses: https://clips.twitch.tv/HelpfulRefinedGooseGingerPower. They (specifically Pillcosby) tries to reset the boss by driving him out of range from the other raid. Basically, they always manage to get both bosses in every CR/GR to make 100 gold each time. Every top 50 geared player on Wynn is in this raid. They even meme around and offer invites to the raid for gold. For weeks leading up to the launch of AAU, there was lots of talk about no tolerance policies to exploiting and cheating within the game. If the the people who took advantage of the WB exploiting get off free with no consequences, it will show EVERYONE that they are just all talk. Next time, more people will exploit/cheat, knowing Gamigo won't do anything but make threats and not deliver. Why Archepass rewards gold to begin with?! Posted: 21 Oct 2019 05:10 AM PDT So there is this thing called LABOR in Archage and AFAIK whole economy resolves around fact that you need to spent it to make money - there are multiple ways to do so, some faster or slower, safer and more risk oriented and it is a very good system balancing progression speed of the players. But in the meantime you add those Archepasses that were supposed to reward you some cosmetics/QOL items/DC etc. to make Archeage life easier BUT they also reward gold!! The problem is that it's RNG based and they completely lack in balance in terms of time/risk/reward! Archepasses should NOT reward ANY GOLD or just symbolic amount to cover expanses like Hereafter stones etc. Right now Archepasses is the main way of making money for some people and it will probably still be so even after their "hotfix" which cimpletely ruind the LABOR system. This Unchained Beta test has been interesting! Posted: 21 Oct 2019 10:42 AM PDT Can't wait for the real release next month with all of these glaring issues fixed! Think of the fun we can have. No seriously, I have been playing this since Alpha. This is my favorite game I have ever played, nothing compares whatsoever. It brings all my friends together so we can play and have fun and be super social but this Unchained release is not it. How to fix Unchained: This one is retroactive, they should have put the game on steam for pre-orders. I have a connection at Gamigo and I emailed them explicit recommendations to put it on steam before launch. They didn't because steam takes 30% of the revenue, well guess what. If it had been on steam for pre-order they would have been able to properly interpret the amount of people that wanted to play. They could have added more servers and spread shit out more and cut down on these horrendous queues. Instead they kept their 30% of the pre-orders and served us up a shit sandwich on launch with overpopulated servers and queues that take all day. Remove the fucking Hiram "story" gear. That is an obvious catch up mechanic from the legacy servers, ITS A FRESH SERVER WHO THE FUCK ARE WE CATCHING UP WITH? Hiram completely killed the entire fun of archeage, wanting to gear up, dungeons, running tradepacks and cargo etc. to make money to craft gear to get stronger. Keep Hiram farmable once you are 55 sure, people will have to gear up to be able to fight the mobs and progress. Leveling would be slower and the high tier players would really have to grind an work for their gear. What happened to the AMAZING crafting system that ArcheAge had, why would they throw that all away? I can't understand it at all its like they have been doing their best to go backwards. They went and took an amazing game and kept "improving" it over time, and they have just ended up in the WoW situation where they bloated the fuck out of their game with shit catch up mechanics and terrible design choices that actively suck the fun out of the experience. Giving people a delphinad set for reaching level 50 is absurd, the weapons are far too strong, we are going to be 1 shotting each other (we already are) in PVP. World bosses and shit that should take really strong guilds to kill are just being flattened by zergs of incredibly strong players. Keep in mind we are 6 days into launch here and peoples progression is (at the high end exploiters) months ahead of where it should be. Old archeage PVP you could have a 1v1 fight that lasted more than 5 seconds, now its hyper inflated damage CC and 1 shot mechanics. Fucking boring. What is there to work for, nothing at all. People just run around in gigantic raids completing boring kill quests. The entire world apart from World boss zones are completely irrelevant. Fix the ArchePass, how people didn't discover this WB thing on the PTS is beyond me, more likely they did notice it but didn't alert XL / Gamigo. Or honestly they did know about it but had scheduled the PTS so close to launch they couldn't change stuff. The economy at this point is ruined, several millions of gold are being pumped into players hands every single day this WB thing isn't fixed. Even without exploiting4 and rerolling at 55 you get the WB quest over and over and over. I have had it 6 times in a row today and honestly I want to progress my archepass so I have been killing the bosses. No exploit rerolling just playing the game as it has been designed and given to us. Remember there was meant to be a PTS patch to change the price of expansion scrolls? Yeah we never got that even now on live servers they are still 50 diligence. Make 1 path on the ArchePass that are guaranteed to be finished in 1 day, I mean kill quests yes. Boring as fuck but at least if you want to dedicate yourself to leveling archepass you can do that. Currently getting halted by "Kill an Ocean world boss" is completely ridiculous. Here are some suggestions for other ArchePass dailies they could add Kill 20 players that award Honor in Warzones Do a traderun from A to B Visit certain coordinates in the world / sea (with a sextant) to find some item Make 20 sales on the Auction House etc. at the moment you can get given "Crimson Omens 2" when you have already completed the Crimson rift quests. Why wouldn't that auto complete if you already did it once and you have no possible way of doing it again. TL;DR - This was an abysmal launch and they should wipe and start again. Confidence has been lost in the devs already within a week and whoever decided to put Hiram story gear into Unchained needs to be taken out back and hung. I only want this game to succeed, be balanced, be fun for new players and last for years to come. Without it theres a hole in my life and soul, also in my social life. This game was so good that it ruined any other MMO for me, I can't go back, but I feel I also can't go forward with AA. I am shattered. Many have already expressed displeasure with this system. It's 119 dailies per week, on top of hiram, gilda dailies, cr/gr, Whalesong/Aegis, Kraken, Halcy, etc. The issue with the archepass is that it has rewards that are simply too good to pass up such as labor etc. This means if you're not grinding the dailies you're gimping your character. I believe swapping the daily system for the archepass to a weekly system would be much better for the overall feel of the game. I play AA for an open world sandbox, not a themepark game filled with endless dailys. Further, please look at the diligence shop. A lot of the prices are ridiculous and the fact that you can only get some items from there like hauler certs are ridiculous. no p2w means adding in viable ways to get items in game, not time gating them behind random coins because everything from the cash shop was thrown in the diligence shop. Almost a week and i think i've had enough :( Posted: 21 Oct 2019 12:27 PM PDT Alright so let me start by saying that i really do LOVE this game, a lot and this is NOT some kind of "whining" thread, i'd like to just share my "feedback". There is just way too many dailies to do at this point that i barley have time to do anything else. I don't have time to craft anything nor farm exp for my Ancestral because my archepass takes the whole time, i also have to do hiram dailies, CR/GR, Halcy, arena + the other events. Many raids do the hiram after reset (Which is really late for me) and then i have to make a small raid to clear them. I been trying to do some crafting for some mana pots and i barley have the time to even plant things nor try to craft because i'm so stressed over finishing everything and also lvling my Ancestral which i barley can't. adding to that, if i'm playing with friends and we help each other, the quests are random and then we have to do MORE dailies. We also have the 29 gilda dailies (hunt quests) which also i don't have the time to do because again, i have other stuff to do. The whole archepass is draining my energy. Honestly, it literally feels like a second job than actually a game i can just sit and enjoy. Tldr? The game is truly fun and i been enjoying alot and i'd wanna keep playing but fuck, these dailies, just no. Sorry if there are any typos, too tired for this. [link] [comments] | ||

No, because it also says it's ONE-HUNDRED "missions" per week. That's a completely unreasonable amount of missions and time spent playing. On top of this, do you expect people to pay $10/month so they can grind 100 missions a week to get their higher level Archepass cosmetic rewards? Because generally we get paid for work - not pay TO work. This update completely misses the mark and isn't understanding our criticism or feedback on the issues with the Archepass. What we actually want: "Go kill 100 mobs anywhere" or "gain x amount of experience" , "use some labor" etc and playing for 1-3 hours a day doing LITERALLY ANYTHING IN THE GAME and your archepass is done for the day. Posted: 20 Oct 2019 07:56 PM PDT Yes servers are a problem. Yes queues are a problem. Yes bugs and other issues going on right now are a problem. But the biggest problem of all is the Archepass. There's enough posts talking about how poorly designed and terribly implemented the Archepass is so I won't go over that. Suffice to say though this is the worst Battlepass I've ever seen and it actively discourages the best parts of Archeage. The big issue is that the Archepass is a gigantic influx of gold into the economy without it having any kind of gold sink accompanying it or labor lock. Before, the economy was based around labour. Even players grinding combat for money still had to spend labour to open coin purses. Farmers and crafters were likewise limited by their labour. It meant that to an extent players werent heavily punished for playing the game how they want and not dedicating their lives to it. Now thanks to the Archepass means that the economy is now heavily skewered in favour of players who can afford to spend all day grinding these dailies for pure gold while on top of still having their labour to use. Not to say anything about the exploits currently going on. Lots of players don't like dailies. I personally hate them. It's why I loved AA because it's a Sandbox MMO where the focus is on advancing however you want, whether that be crafting, combat, farming, trading and so forth. Now, I feel I'm actively wasting my time if I don't do the Archepass dailies and there's 17 of them a day. This is made worse when you remember VERY IMPORTANT THINGS such as DAMN INVENTORY EXPANSIONS are locked behind these ridiculously grindy daily Archepass quests. The Archepass in it's current form is bad for the economy, bad for the players from every walk of life and is actively turning the game into another bog standard Themepark MMO and that is NOT what Archeage is supposed to be. After so many relaunches the community still gives this game a chance because it's everyone's dream game where the players get to write their story and treasure each moment with their friends. I give Gamingo mass amounts of respects trying to bring this game back and i don't believe they are doing it just for the money. It's not entirely their fault when it comes to the dead games they buy. I personally have seen them try to implement things for older games like "Fiesta Online" to bring back players. And though games have problems i think they try their best to help the games out. Archeage beats all other MMO's IMO with a good mix of pve/pvp and overall freedom. I'm just writing this out hoping others feel the same way i do and not give up on this game/Gamingo. Let's help keep this game alive and support Gamingo as they are our best hope in keeping things together. I trust the archepass will be fix and abusers be dealt with. A thought about how lazy XL Games became over the years Posted: 21 Oct 2019 02:14 PM PDT I was a hardcore player when the game came ocident (even played hardly at RU server before NA Launch) Back then, u really could do whatever you want at the map, u could choose from going hard pvp, stealing packs, do some dungeons (was not that good too back then, but atleast u could get a decent gear to start when max lvl) or you could just afk fishing all day or many other things. Nowdays the game makes you anxious with the amount of dailys and you cant actually enjoy the game the way you want because you NEED to do tons of dailies to bem on par with others. Theres much better ways of having player retention in game development nowadays, dailys its just a lazy and poor design wise way. Its sad that the most amazing thing about this game its dying, you could ask anyone about archeage over the years, 90% would say that the game was literally perfect but pay to win, but right now i dont think this is true anymore.
