WE WANT THE OLD TRADE STSTEM BACK! Posted: 26 Oct 2019 07:34 PM PDT Let it be known here, that we will not be playing an mmo created for a dying Korean server. We want XL Games and Gamigo to change the trade system back to 1.0! We want all out war with trade packs! We want an out of this world experience! Let us play Archeage Unchained to its fullest glory! LET US HAVE FUN! (We'll pay for it, I promise) [link] [comments]
They have ran proficiencies into the ground, haven’t they? Posted: 27 Oct 2019 07:55 AM PDT Literally everything, alchemy, cooking, weapons/armor making.. Unless my memory is playing tricks on me, I could swear there were plenty of recipes available. Now there's almost nothing to make, I don't even think it's worth it to farm anymore lol. Buff food for example, why spend gold for few extra points when you can buy one for like 10 silver from a vendor? There's 0 diversity, from what I understand if enough people start working on a proficiency, there will be next to no reason to do it due to low profits. Is it just me or is there something wrong, I'm not sure but I find it very strange. [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Oct 2019 10:29 AM PDT Hi, this is basically a resurrection of something I was trying to point out before the game released and I feel like should be readdressed. Essentially all of the mounts and gliders are currently not obtainable and after the removal of the archepass system we have no idea when we will see these items in the shop at all and I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to discuss them. Mounts and gliders are an essential part of this game, and they make ArcheAge unique as a game. Currently we all are feeling this themepark mmo style of gameplay and currently you will see everyone running around with the same mount end-game after they get it which is the owlina since it currently has the fastest base m/s and it's free. Most people have not crafted a newer glider yet so you only see the basic on currently in game (and yes I realize it's only been about 2 weeks). I thought this would be the perfect chance to revisit this topic since everyone clearly can see the archepass system was a bad system. Instead of just sticking these items into a shop, giving us weekly currency to EVENTUALLY buy them is there a chance that you guys can re-purpose some of the older greater dungeons, serpentis, dahuta, etc. Any of these dungeons or have a % to drop a certain wrapped mount or glider? Whatever the Gamigo teams deems fitting for each dungeon to drop. This basically will give players something to do on their downtime while organically adding item drops into them game. And this doesn't only have to be towards dungeons it could be any event, etc. Now I know people are going to come out and say "get manastorm crystals" or "craft it" but what's the point in that argument when they are planning on adding them to the diligence shop anyways? This helps it be more accessible to the general public too and not just higher tier guilds / players. Additionally, we could maybe see some newer achievements added for some mounts and gliders? Currently you can get a lower tier Kraken glider if you do the Red Dragon instance 50 times, could we add more of these achievements and different kinds of these for mounts and gliders? It would be cool and good system to know that after you do something x amount of times you get something out of it. Could be Abyssal Attack, CR, GR, etc. Pretty much adding achievements to different things. I edit this post to add suggestions from the community if anyone else has some dank ideas. Turn #DailyAge into #WeeklyAge Posted: 27 Oct 2019 03:27 PM PDT I think a simple easy fix to a lot of the pains to casual players and hardcore players is to multiply the daily rewards by 7 and make them into a weekly quest. This will heavily cutdown on the boring dailyage grind and let us do more fun activities in game. Thanks please subscribe, like, subscribe, favorite, retweet, and retumble. [link] [comments]
An Economist's Analysis of Hiram vs. Crafted Gear Posted: 27 Oct 2019 07:43 AM PDT I played ArcheAge for 4 months when it was released. At the time, I was in the first year of my economics degree. Fondly, I remember jotting my game plans down in the corner of my notebook while in lectures (don't do this!) ArcheAge was a massive MMO with a stable economy and sandbox elements. The economy was active and demand for most products was strong. AA at its core was the ideal game which attracted record breaking Twitch views. Unfortunately, the game's demise was caused by a completely P2W model with heavily RNG-based gear progression. Certainly, AAU is a hopeful resurrection and reflection of what could have been. Years later, I've received my MA, but the current and future issues with AAU's economy don't require any formal education to notice. End game demand for products in AAU revolves around 3 things: properties, consumables, and mainly gear. In this part of this analysis, I will focus entirely on the issue of Hiram gear and its impact on the AAU economy. 1) Hiram as an attractive product substitute Hiram gear is certainly a substitute to crafted gear. It's coined as "catch-up" gear by many people in the community. In AAU, Hiram is likely to be the main gearset many players, casual and competitive, invest their resources into. This naturally means the demand for crafted gear, which requires significantly more investment, is decreased. 2) A lack of demand funnels down What happens when the demand for crafted gear decreases? Less people craft gear. What's the problem? Unlike Hiram, crafted gear is inherently tied to the AA economy. For example, magnificent (lowest craftable tier) leather armor pieces require fine leather and viscous glossy oil. Fine leather requires regular leather and small seed oil. Small seed oil requires rice, corn, and onyx archeum essence. Viscous glossy oil requires peanuts, wheat, red coral, small seed oil, and onyx archeum essence. Sounds complex right? But that's a good thing. This complexity is entirely different from the Hiram upgrade tree. This complexity stimulates the demand for countless other professions (gathering and processing). With demand comes potential profit margins. Honestly, can you see any of the weaponsmithing/tailoring professions being viable? Because these professions are dead in Legacy AA. 3) My solution? There are two possible solutions: A) Tie Hiram progression to the gathering and processing professions somehow (very unlikely and defeats the purpose). B) Tweak the difference between Hiram and crafted gear. Either nerf Hiram or buff crafted gear. Either actions will resurrect the crafted gear economy at least partially. TLDR: A noticeable nerf to Hiram is necessary in order to rejuvenate the crafting side of the game's economy. Complaints aside, I'm loving AAU. I hope any relatively new players reading this post aren't scared away. It's a very fun game. [link] [comments]

I made a spreadsheet calculator to help with labor per action [WIP] Posted: 27 Oct 2019 08:10 AM PDT https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1LRwBs8E9E4KlBpMX9gmb6YEjrb_MvFPnv6C3u3-aNVQ/edit?usp=sharing How to use;
I need suggestions on what to add/how to improve this! I hope this will become an ongoing project of mine! Right now all it has is a few basic material processing recipes. The primary purpose was to figure out the proficiency per gold ratios but I got a little sidetracked and forgot about it! Hoping to add that as my first improvement [link] [comments]
Golden Plains Battle is Broken in EU. Posted: 27 Oct 2019 02:39 PM PDT Was exited to finally try the Golden Plains Battle yesterday and today. The experience couldn't be worse with a 5 seconds lag for the entire 20 minute instance both times. Completely unplayable. How is it even possible to have servers that bad ? [link] [comments]

What is The Going Rate For Gilda Star to Gold Posted: 27 Oct 2019 03:44 PM PDT Getting different answers on how much Gold 1 Gilda Star is worth, some say its also based on how many you have to sell. What is the market like? [link] [comments]
Petition for old fishing system Posted: 27 Oct 2019 11:22 AM PDT After all the posts about the old trade system discussion I'd like to start a petition for bringing the old fishing system back. Make chummed fishing frenzies based on time and not quantity, and having to spend 50 labor to sell the fish is outrageous, make it 10 labor to sell the fish like it was! [link] [comments]

Fix for Anyone That Gets Lag Opening Coinpurses or Leveling Posted: 27 Oct 2019 01:55 PM PDT Delete your ArcheAge folder in 'My Documents' This will fix the lag you get when you open coinpurses, gain experience or just general lag that progressively gets worse as you play. It will reset your settings, but it fixes the issue. Some people say deleting the Shaders folder alone will work, so if your settings are really important to you then try doing that first! Do not allow server transfer to the new servers Posted: 26 Oct 2019 05:12 PM PDT There are many players and guilds left the main servers because of the economy that was ruined by the archepass exploits. The new servers have more stable economies, allowing these players into the server would give them a huge advantage over the original server players and have a large impact on the economy. A large number of players would quit from this. [link] [comments]
How do you promote someone to raid lead? Posted: 27 Oct 2019 01:44 PM PDT Occasionally when the leader leaves the group I get auto-delegated as raid lead, but I haven't played this game long enough to tell 99 other people what to do. Usually I don't realise that I'm leader for a bit, then suddenly I have 10 people yelling at me to pass lead on to someone else. But how do you pass lead to someone else? People say 'just right click and delegate', but I never see that option anywhere. If I target them, and right click their health bar it's not an option. If I right click their health bar on the raid frame it's not an option. If I open the raid menu thing and right click their name it's not an option. So these people usually get increasingly agitated while I'm sitting there feeling like a squashbrain that can't read menus. Then I'll say something like 'I can't see the button anywhere, I'll leave group and someone else can pass lead then reinvite me', but usually I don't get reinvited because who would want to reinvite that potato that couldn't figure out how to pass lead. So how the fuck do you pass lead to someone? [link] [comments]
The ArcheAge wikipedia needs to be removed and remade. Posted: 26 Oct 2019 07:44 PM PDT Most if not all information on the wikipedia is outdated and outright WRONG. You are more likely to get misinformation, waste time, and ultimately not get your answer solved by being redirected from 4-6 year old posts or wikipedia pages. Please Gamingo, fix what Trion Worlds messed up. Please remove all Wikipedia pages and remake the entirety of the website to be directly influenced by players. Please make a Glyph sponsored wikipedia, tied to your account via the launcher- so that information can both be posted without using a 3rd party login, while also keeping tabs on reputable sources. Black Desert Online does this incredibly well by providing accurate information and the ability to report posts for falsehood. We are counting on you, Gamingo ~Igna Jergant [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Oct 2019 01:01 AM PDT This should honestly be a bannable offense. It isn't bad enough that this is on a stupid 5 minute coodlwon but now you have guilds that block the door with their wagon and another messing with everyone on top of a farm cart and another trying to teleport people out of the zone. One small thing I like about this game Posted: 27 Oct 2019 03:11 AM PDT I love how the guards always compliment me when I walk past them. It seems that everyday, they have a new dialogue that compliments my gear. I think that's super cool. Do the devs update their dialogue everyday or something? It's a small thing but I think it's cute [link] [comments]
A Mysterious Ally mission queue [Archeage Unchained] Posted: 26 Oct 2019 11:33 PM PDT This is just ridiculous, anybody that has been playing this game and has gone through the main story knows about this bottleneck of a mission. It's in Halcyona at the cemetery where you need to light a candle that takes 5 minutes to refresh for the before the next person could use it. This is beyond me, as people camp this place for HOURS trying to complete this mission in a war infested region. While people have suggested queuing it's impossible to predict if somebody were to ruin somebody else's turn, you can't just idle in pvp zone hoping to be the next person to finish the mission. This task is about who has the lowest ping; and as an Aussie, I don't think there's a chance of me ever completing it. A couple things could be done such as:
PLEASE UPVOTE THIS POST!! [link] [comments]
can someone help me understand endgame Posted: 27 Oct 2019 03:37 PM PDT so i'm level 55 and stuck at that candle quest in halcy and it kinda hit me that i don't really even know what i'm supposed to do once i finish the story? other games have raids and stuff like that which you look forward to as a goal to work towards, but this game just kinda expects you to set your own goals right? what's the endgame like what are players doing to keep themselves engaged and interested? it can't be just grinding mobs and upgrading your gear for pvp right? Posted: 27 Oct 2019 03:35 PM PDT We need a craftable box for these that doesnt take one from the eqivalent of the cash shop. Theres a mount box from quests, a glider box, a pet box, but no music box thats easily reachable. Theres one for ONE HUNDRED dilligence coins, the same price as 2 inventory expanders. Whys it so expensive? if it was 10 or 20 or even 50 id have one now but no one hundred. Or you can drop 13$ and buy one from credits. Also feels shitty. I already had to buy a otherworldly chest because as far as i can tell you cant realistically craft storage for your place when the basic chest holds TEN items. I know we all loved the old trade system and that should come back if possible, but theres hundreds of little things that get left by the wayside, like these music box sheets. Can we get that changed too? [link] [comments]
