Best/Worst use of Credits? - General discussion

Best/Worst use of Credits? - General discussion

New player? Returning player? Existing player? Let's add to each others knowledge! I intend to update this post as feedback and ideas come in from folk!

Folk, let's look at some of the common items on the Marketplace in terms of value-to-gold ratios!

First off, especially if you're new, go slow spending your credits. Research prices on the Auction House (AH) on your respective servers, and start comparing a credit to gold value ratio.

Common mistakes: Buying the wrong items such as:

    • Tax Certs
    • Expansion Scrolls
    • Storage Chests

    DEAR LORD THAT'S EXPENSIVE!

*These items are generally a fair bit cheaper on the AH. One such tactic you could do instead would be to buy a higher-gold value item on the Marketplace, sell it on the AH and buy the items you desire!

Such items do not represent true value and you only need to do a search on the AH to confirm this. For example, on Kadum (NA),

Examples of some better credit to gold values:

    • Mining Drills (prices vary)
    • Majestic Trees (prices vary)

General items that are always in demand - check values on AH before buying.

*Alternatively also worth more if you have the land to place them onto ;)

    • Certain Promotional items; such as the permanent parrot for 3000 credits. This could be potentially seen as an investment item - could be worth more once removed from the Marketplace.

*The general idea is to aim for as close as 1-1 ratio - so for example 300 credits should equal to 300 gold on a very good day!

    Real example:

    • Illustrious Storage Chest: 1432 credits - bought on AH for 450g
    • Mining Drill: 300 credits - sold on AH for 280g.

*The difference in value means that you really shouldn't be wasting your money on the Marketplace with certain items, so be sure to carefully research your options before purchasing!

On the flipside there are items that are also worth investing in - if you spend a considerable amount of time playing the game.

For instance, there are Marketplace ONLY items such as the Rousing Rabbit Pajamas, basically costing ~5,000 credits. This set of Pajamas however, will give you 450 labour when you sleep in your own bed in-game.

This is not to be confused with the lullaby pajama set, which can be bought with Gilda and vocation - this set only gives 250 labour.

This is by no means a comprehensive list and I would like to grow and share this! I actively encourage each of you to share your experiences both good and bad.... and any tricks you may have!

i think i did a mistake and dont want to star over, is it ok to switch 1 class pre 50 ?

    Posted: 12 Jun 2019 04:04 AM PDT

so i made a warborne malediction and went with sorcery, couldnt decide on my 3rd tree until lv30. I choose vitalism because i thought the heals would be strong enough to not having to food after every mob (i usually drop to 50% and below if they reach me) but the heal is so bad its not worth it. I redeemed the returning player and server evolution pack on that character so i dont really want to start over. Is it ok to switch my 3rd tree and start it at lv15 when im already 30+ ?

    Returning player question

    Posted: 11 Jun 2019 11:43 PM PDT

So I haven't played this game in about 2 years and really find myself missing this game the more I try to find a good RPG game.

I was just curious if there were any suggestions as I will be starting from scratch. Like what server is best for me to join. Is there any race with an advantage to starting sooner(I hear some get more xp but IDK if that's a rumor)

Any help/suggestions would be amazing thanks!

New player, Subbed. How to spend labor?

    Posted: 11 Jun 2019 09:16 PM PDT

I'm accruing it faster than I can spend it, and I know that labor can be converted to money so I'm looking for ways to do that as I'm leveling up. Currently level 18.
