    Does the game still install a rootkit?

    I remember uninstalling the game over a rootkit years ago... I do want to play it, but I'm really not willing to install a rootkit or overbearing program into my PC, but I heard this game no longer uses hackshield. Can anyone confirm that this is the case and that the new anti cheat is not as seedy and is fully removed upon uninstalling the game?

    ArcheAge Unchained... possibly something I’ll enjoy?

    Hello, everyone.

    I'm considering purchasing ArcheAge Unchained, and was hoping to ask a few questions before doing so. Really, I would like to know if, based on a few things I'm looking for, somebody could tell me whether they think this is something I'll enjoy.

    • I like classes with designated roles (DPS, healer, tank). Specific roles for each character to perform.

    • I like dungeons and raids. I don't mind if they're not designed around world championships or anything like that (it would probably be refreshing if they aren't, tbh), I just want group content designed around groups of players performing specific roles.

    • Endgame content. I don't want the game to end at max level, I want it to begin.

    • I don't want F2P-style microtransactions being shoved in my face everywhere I turn, nor do I want to feel obligated to purchase them to fully experience the game. I prefer buying a game upfront. I'm also fine with buying expansions, and I'm totally fine with a subscription to keep the game healthy. I understand a cash shop is basically an inevitability at this point, I just don't want to feel like anything is gated behind it, and I don't want coins, gems, or any other microcurrency being shoved in my face.

    • Can I sit in chairs I find in the world? I like knowing that, when I see a chair, I can sit in it. It's immersive, I guess. Or I'm a dork. Whichever.

    • I like combat that's conducted via an action bar. I am not looking for "live action" combat (I think that's what it's called). I like combat being done with — and revolving around — abilities on the action bar. I like rotations. Think World of Warcraft's combat style. That is precisely what I am looking for.

    • I would very much prefer if the UI properly scales with a 4K screen resolution. I don't know if this is odd, but a few of the games I've tried are virtually unplayable due to things like quest/dialogue text, chat text, action bars, etc. being very tiny.

    I know this is a lot, I'm just really trying to find something I'll enjoy that offers a similar experience to what I'm accustomed to. Thank you very much for any responses.

    New to end game

    Hey guys.

    I am a new player to AA:U. I got to max level, upgraded into Hiram with ideal stats, just got my owlina mount and am trying to do dailies in Western Hiram. Im playing a Darkrunner and have run into great difficulty surviving the mobs there. Havent found any groups for it although I get off work late so that may be why. But solo those mobs murder me. I can tear through about 3 a minute but if 2 jump me at once I'm sent back to Uni. Am I missing something here? Did I skip a step? Why am I being destroyed so fast or is that just normal?

    Cloudstrike Panther? And armor?

    So during this AP I'm trying to get a good mount, I still don't even have my gallant mount done. I'm hesitant to drop 500 dili on a mount because it's such a limited resource and am considering just going for the cloudstrike panther with gilda. But what armor does it wear? I read that the mane-morale armor works on it even though it's not listed in the tool-tip. Also wondering if the panther armor from the dili shop (for the emberpaw) would work on the cloudstrike?

    Want to play AA, can't get past loading splash

    Hi,

    I have had this issue for multiple months now and I am unable to get in to the game. When pressing play on the Glyph launcher the initial splash pops up and the text loads up until the line "to guard" and then stops, the splash disappears and nothing further happens.

    No error message or anything.

    Anyone got any tips or help in relation to this?

      Clearly a lot has happened! Imo Unchained is still a good game, but it's prime time seems to be fading away... The game's just to heavy on Pay-2-Win... As far as new players go, like described here:

      They have almost no chances of getting into endgame without opening their wallet... There are places like mmoauctions, where you can buy cheap archeage unchained gold, though I still feel like it's not enough. We need game like AAU, but without such predatory money targeting!
