So yeah, as the title suggests, i wanted to create this for a while as there's a ton of questions asked by returning players, regarding all aspects of the game. So I'm gonna cover economics, class balance and build options here, as well as some other stuff.

    So let's get started.

    Gear:

Over the last year this aspect of the game has chaged a lot. Introduction of Hiram Gear turned the task of catching up with top-tier players from impossible to now only boring and time-consuming. Let's have a quick rundown of Hiram Gear:

    • Drops from certain mobs on Auroria
    • Has 4 Grades, each allowing for higher enhancment levels to be achieved.
    • To Level the gear you need Infusions (They also drop from mobs and are Quest Rewards in Eastern and Western Hiram Mountains.
    • Upon reaching Celestial (For Tier 1) / Divine (For Tier 2) / Epic (For Tier 3) Enhancment rank you can Upgrade it into the next tier (albeit loosing a little bit of stats)
    • To do so you need Scrolls: 10 (For Tier 1) / 25 (For Tier 2) / 50 (For Tier 3). Please, note that sucess is not guaranteed, and you might have to try it for a few times.
    • Scrolls are also given as quest rewards: 5+5+10 for Tier 1 (Sungold Fields + Exceloch + Desolations) / 7+7+7 For Tier 2 (Western Hiram Mountains) / 5+5+2+3 For Tier 3 (Western Hiram Mountains)
    • You can Roll Stats just like you do it in Costumes or Erenor Gear.
    • All Hiram Gear has 3 Stats. (1 Basic + 2 Additional)
    • For example you can roll Intelligence, HP and Resilence in your Heavy Hiram Chestplate if you want to play Mage in heavy set.
    • Generally, Rolling for your class-specific base stat, Resilence and set-type specific DMG Resistance is the way to go. (So it goes like this - Robe rolls for Mele Resist, Leather rolls Everuthing in Balance and Heavy rolls for Mage Resist)

    Class-specific builds:

    Here's somewhat of a list:

    Mele:

    • Leather Set, Dual Wielding, Roll for Stength. Pretty solid build, compensates for lacks of raw ATK with extra Crit DMG and GKD.
    • Leather Set, 2-Handed, Roll for Strength. More of a glass-canon and a bit less reliable build in my oppinion, but allows to chop through Cloth like it's not even there.
    • Leather Set, Shielded, Roll for Strength. A bit more specific and tanky build, suits well for Blighters and such, but requires both MDef and PDef shields.
    • Heavy Set, Shielded, Roll for Strength. Kinda weird build, as you sacrifice all damage for 20K PDef.
    • Heavy Set, 2-Handed or Dual Wielding, Roll for Strenght. This build has a chance to live in certain conditions, but i personaly would prefer leather to plate in current pathc.

    Archers:

    • Leather Set, Dual Wielding, Roll for Agilty. Nothing more to say here.

    Mages:

    • Leather Set, Dual Wielding or 2-Handed, Roll for Intelligence.

Light sets are now rendered obsolete, due to leather sets giving more DMG output and more Physical Def. without sacrificing your off-hand slot for Shield. But still, keep in mind, that 2-handed builds are always a glass-canon sort of thing.

    • Heavy Set, Shielded, Roll for Intelligence.

This build offers a bit more survivability, whilst loosing damage. Suits more for Revenant-style builds.

    Healers:

    • Heavy Set, MDef Shield / Dual Wielding (with T7 Obsidian off-had staff). Roll for Spirrit. A good option for Frontline / Non-Casting healers (Hierophant / Cleric / Confessor).
    • Library Dungeon Set, Shielded or Dual Wielding (with T7 Obsidian off-had staff). Albeit pricy, provides perfect bonuses for Casting Healers. But keep in mind, your survivability is pretty crap in this set unless you grade it into Mythic / Eternal.

Tanks (only Skullknights in Fact, lol):

    • Heavy Set,MDef Shield, roll for Stamina.

    Gliders:

    Mele:

    • Red Dragon (cheap and easy to get craft, allows to catch fleing foe or engage from far and high.)
    • Jet Pack (Same as red dragon, but with wings mechanichs.)
    • Crystalic Wings (This ones won't knockdown your foe, but will make them bleed and will slow them down, as well as tax on their GCD)

    Archers:

    • Umbrella (Allows to land onto desired location in 40m radius and Pushes All Enemies in certain radius Away, good tool for taking advantageous positions)
    • Crystalic Wings (Same reason as above)

    Mages:

    • Red Dragon / Jetpack (for catching your fleing oponents or initiating from far away)
    • Thunderwing Titan Wings. Expensive and Rare, but immensely usefull in MPVP

    Tanks:

    • Red Dragon / Jetpack / Crystalic Wings / Thunderwing Titan Wings (Basicaly anything with ability to land onto a predetermined position or target from a significant distance)

    Heallers and Universal Gliders:

    • Ezi (Invul with 1 click of a button)
    • Blue Phoenix (2 Speed Boosts + Blink put this guy on par with kraken glider in terms of speed)
    • Kraken / Dragon Gliders (Expensive AF, but are immune to turbulence and posess unmatched speed)
    • Ravenspire Wings (That imbalanced instant Invul. Boi)
    • [Forgot the name of the Glider, Help] (Has a 25m blink bakwards with 10 Sec. CD, Rare and Pricy, but still worth it)

Anything else i should cover? Ideas? Thoughts? Suggestions? Leave em' below.

    Auction House Crash

    Posted: 19 Jul 2019 12:00 PM PDT

Hey, so I've been looking around for an answer for a bit now, and I see that there's not really any recent updates on this crash since like march 2018, but whenever I type into the auction house, I crash to desktop. The last fix I've found is to delete the folder that gets created in the C drive but it still crashes. Anyone know any new fixes for this crash? I've done both dx11 and dx9

    Hiram stat help

    Posted: 19 Jul 2019 09:25 AM PDT

Hello, I'm a returning player and I was wondering what stats would be the best to aim for on my equipment.

I'm currently running a Shadowblade build with a great axe and full leather outfit.

    Hi there !

Question from returning player (last time i played was 3.0).Which glider u consider as best (or ur top list) in terms on pvp, last time I played AA sloth was broken and I know it is still great, but nowadays I see tones of different stuff, some clouds, balloons, helicopters etc.

Came back to ArcheAge after 3 years!

    Posted: 18 Jul 2019 08:12 PM PDT

I am currently downloading the game. I used to play on EU, checked through the site and it shows me my character is now on the server "Taris". is this a merged server? how is the population there? Is it good for me to stay there? my character was around level 30 or so (it was a Blighter!). or should I start a new character on a new server?

What are things I need to know? any recommendations will be appreciated!

Btw, are there any codes for free stuff that I can get? checked on the glyph site and there are 2 free "server evolution giftpack". what do they bring? should I take them both?

Thanks in advance! sorry for all the questions! Really wanna get back into the game the best I can! And if anyone wanna accompany me in my travels and guide me through the game, he/she will be more then welcome!
